Alibaba Cloud PAI FeatureStore is a managed cloud service for storing, organizing, synchronizing, and serving machine-learning features. It is aimed at teams building recommendation, search-ranking, user-growth, advertising, or risk-control systems on Alibaba Cloud. The service supports offline storage with MaxCompute and online serving through FeatureDB, Hologres, and Tablestore. Teams can define feature entities and feature views, manage label tables, and retrieve real-time or batch-synchronized features through web or API access.
Pricing is usage-based rather than subscription-based. Write fees are $0.02271 per 10,000 requests in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen, or $0.03986 in Hong Kong, Singapore, Silicon Valley, and Frankfurt. Read fees are $0.01135 and $0.01994 per 10,000 requests across those same regional groups. Disk storage costs $0.00032 or $0.00026 per GiB per hour, while memory storage costs $0.00931 or $0.01516 per GiB per hour. Each 64 KB of request body data counts as one write request, and each 128 KB of returned data counts as one read request. PAI activation and workspace creation are free, while FeatureStore data sources and related services incur charges.
Its strongest fit is an Alibaba Cloud-centered machine-learning stack. Integrations include DataHub, Flink, MaxCompute, FeatureDB, Hologres, Tablestore, DataWorks, EasyRec, PAI-REC, and EAS. Point-in-time joins support training-set export, while real-time and sequence feature management cover workloads that need more than static batch features.
