Alibaba Cloud Hologres is a cloud-native, PostgreSQL-compatible data warehouse for interactive analytics, online data serving, and ad hoc analysis. It is designed for teams that need real-time writes and updates, high-concurrency querying, and sub-second analysis across large datasets. Its web and API access, along with JDBC and ODBC connectivity, make it suitable for BI, application-serving, and analytical workloads that already fit the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem.
Pricing is split across three models. Pay-as-you-go bills compute and storage according to actual usage, with hourly settlement, region-dependent compute rates, and storage charged separately per GB per hour. Subscription provides prepaid fixed-term billing for compute and storage, also priced separately. Shared Cluster, the Lakehouse Acceleration Edition, is listed at $0.0420245 per GB scanned and bills by data scanned per query, with no idle-instance charges. Serverless Computing and backup under the Subscription plan are billed pay-as-you-go. There is no free plan, so buyers should plan for commercial evaluation and resource-level cost management.

Flink and Spark connectors support streaming workflows, while MaxCompute federation, OSS, and Data Lake Formation support queries and ingestion across analytical and object-storage environments.
