Alibaba Cloud CDN is a paid cloud content delivery network for organizations serving websites, downloads, large files, on-demand video, or live video across distributed audiences. It caches origin resources at points of presence and routes users to nearby nodes. The service is particularly suited to large-scale global delivery, with more than 3,200 worldwide nodes and support for both web and API access.

Its feature set extends beyond basic caching. Image workflows include format conversion, resizing, cropping, rotation, compression, and watermarking, while delivery options cover website acceleration, large-file acceleration, on-demand streaming, and live streaming. HTTP/3 and QUIC acceleration support modern transport requirements, and programmable EdgeScript logic adds a way to apply CDN behavior at the edge. Primary and secondary origin configuration also supports more involved delivery architectures.

The published plans use traffic-based billing. Pay-as-you-go pricing includes a Mainland China 0 GB–50 TB tier at $0.04 per GB, with traffic charged hourly and rates varying by acceleration region. A separate 100 GB outbound data transfer plan covers the Mainland China region, has one-year validity, and requires the pay-by-traffic billing method. Integrations with Object Storage Service, Function Compute, Simple Log Service, OpenAPI, and Terraform make Alibaba Cloud CDN a natural fit for teams already working in that ecosystem. Real-time monitoring covers traffic, bandwidth, requests, origins, cache behavior, and status codes, with log delivery to Simple Log Service. Choose it for broad delivery and media capabilities; teams seeking a free plan should consider another option.
