Our verdict on AlfredCamera
AlfredCamera turns smartphones or tablets into camera and viewer devices for home monitoring, with web access also available. Its feature set includes live remote viewing, motion detection, zones and schedules, event recording and playback, two-way audio, and a low-light filter. Camera access can be shared with friends and family, which suits households seeking a lower-cost way to monitor a home, pet, or small business using devices they already have. The category specifications list 1080p video and a four-camera limit.
The free plan covers live streaming, local event recording, and motion detection and alerts. Premium Standard is listed at $2.99 per month with annual billing; it adds HD streaming, an 8-hour continuous recording loop, 14-day event cloud storage, and smart detection and alerts. Premium Plus is listed at $3.74 per month with annual billing and includes Full HD streaming, unlimited continuous recording, 30-day event cloud storage, and advanced detection and alerts. Paid detection options include person, vehicle, pet, and decibel detection. These published annual-billing prices may vary by region; the vendor also states that US Premium starts at $5.99 monthly or $35.99 yearly. The ordinary Premium plan has no trial.
The phone-based approach is the central trade-off: it can make spare mobile devices useful cameras, but the listed camera limit is four, and continuous recording is reserved for paid plans. Web, iOS, and Android access give viewers several ways to check cameras, while camera sharing supports family access. Support channels listed are documentation, so buyers who prioritize direct support should weigh that carefully. AlfredCamera fits budget-conscious households that want shared viewing and motion-based monitoring; those needing more than four cameras or free continuous recording should look elsewhere.
