AkitaBox review
A broad facilities platform for mapped assets, maintenance, inspections, and capital planning.

AkitaBox is facilities management software for building owners, operators, facility teams, and AEC firms. It brings location-based asset mapping, digital floor plans, asset and space inventories, maintenance history, work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, documents, condition assessments, capital planning, and occupant service requests into one platform. Web, iOS, and Android access support office and field workflows, while QR codes and floor-plan pins help teams locate assets and facility information.
Pricing is customized and requires a quote, making AkitaBox more suited to organizations prepared for a sales-led buying process than teams seeking a self-serve subscription. The platform has no free plan. Its ecosystem includes Autodesk Revit, Procore, and Gordian RSMeans, which supports construction handover, building information, and cost-estimation workflows. An API provides access to asset data and work-order status, giving teams another route for connecting facility information with other systems.
The main differentiator is breadth: AkitaBox covers both day-to-day operations and longer-term facility planning. Teams can combine maintenance history, recurring inspections, custom rounds, checklist forms, facility documents, condition assessments, and capital planning rather than managing those areas separately. Offline mobile support is relevant for teams capturing asset data in buildings with inconsistent connectivity. AkitaBox should suit facilities and AEC organizations that need mapped spaces, structured operational records, and capital planning in one system. A smaller team focused only on basic work orders or preventive maintenance may prefer a narrower product with a simpler commercial and feature model.
