Aiven for ClickHouse is a fully managed service for running ClickHouse analytical database clusters in the cloud. It handles provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, backups, security, and version updates, making it suited to enterprises running real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and tiered-storage workloads. Teams can manage deployments through the web interface, REST API, CLI, or Terraform provider.

Pricing is organized into three paid monthly tiers, with no free plan. Startup begins at $155 per service per month and includes one dedicated VM, configurable CPU and RAM ranges, low-latency storage from 100 GB to 102.4 TB, unlimited tiered storage, and a 99.99% uptime SLA. Business costs $654 per service per month and adds three dedicated VMs plus one high-availability shard. Premium starts at $4,950 per service per month, with six to 30 dedicated VMs and two to 10 high-availability shards. All three tiers include unlimited tiered storage and the same uptime SLA.

The strongest fit is for organizations that need managed cluster operations without giving up infrastructure control. Horizontal and vertical scaling, independent disk-storage scaling, automatic daily backups, selected-backup restores, metrics, logs, monitoring, alerts, VPC peering, and PrivateLink support production-oriented deployments. Integrations with Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, Amazon S3, and Azure Blob Storage broaden its data-platform fit. Smaller teams with light workloads or strict low-cost requirements may prefer a simpler ClickHouse deployment, while enterprises needing private networking and high availability have a clearer reason to choose Aiven.
