Aimplan extends Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric with financial and business planning capabilities. It is designed for finance, sales, operations, HR, and project teams that need to enter budgets and forecasts, compare plans with actuals, model scenarios, and manage planning data within an existing Microsoft environment. Its focus is embedded planning: teams can work with Power BI datasets while keeping reporting, variance analysis, collaboration, and approvals in the same environment.

The planning workflow is broad enough for organizations coordinating multiple contributors. Driver-based planning supports live calculations, while multi-scenario modeling and forecast-version comparison help teams evaluate alternatives. Workflows, approvals, version control, comments, and real-time collaboration address the process around planning, not only the calculations.
