Our verdict on AIAU
AIAU is the American Institute of Architects’ online continuing-education platform for architects, design professionals and the broader AEC industry. Its catalog includes 250+ expert-led courses and certificate programs, offered live and on demand, with self-paced continuation and quizzes. Courses support HSW, ADA, GBCI, RIBA and AIA LU credits. Completed credits are automatically recorded on an AIA transcript, which can also track AXP experience hours. AIAU is a fit for professionals who want CE learning and credit records in one service; it is less suited to buyers seeking a general-purpose learning catalog outside architecture and the AEC field.
The published 2026 annual subscriptions cost $149 for AIA members and $199 for non-members. Both provide unlimited access to AIAU courses and credits through December 31, 2026. There is no free plan. Bulk purchases with quantity discounts are also available for teams, while individuals can choose a subscription or purchase courses individually. The annual options make the most sense for people who expect to take multiple courses; buyers who need only occasional CE may prefer to compare individual course purchases before subscribing.
