Our verdict on AI Captions

AI Captions is a captioning app from APPEXION LTD for creators producing short-form video on Apple devices. It automatically generates subtitles, then lets users review and edit the caption transcript sentence by sentence. Caption controls cover font, color, background, placement, and styling, while multilingual subtitle generation supports content intended for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The app runs on iOS and macOS and includes AI features.

Its strongest practical advantage is the combination of caption creation and output options. Creators can export a video with captions burned in, or produce separate SRT and VTT subtitle files for workflows that handle subtitles independently. The built-in teleprompter also supports recording from a script inside the same caption-focused workflow. That makes AI Captions a sensible fit for short-form creators who want basic caption production, visual styling, and recording assistance without separating those tasks across multiple tools.

The product remains focused rather than broad. Its listed capabilities center on automatic captions, transcript editing, styling, teleprompter recording, and subtitle export, so teams seeking a wider video-production environment may need another tool alongside it. Access is organized through Weekly Premium, Monthly Premium, and Yearly Premium plans, making the subscription structure part of the buying decision. Choose AI Captions if Apple compatibility, caption styling, burned-in video, and SRT/VTT export match your publishing workflow. Look elsewhere if you need broader platform coverage or a more expansive editing system.
