AEX Software review
A broad OSS/BSS suite for broadband providers managing the full subscriber lifecycle.

AEX Software is an OSS/BSS platform for fiber and broadband operators managing service availability, orders, activation, billing, customer accounts, monitoring, and subscriber support. Its coverage spans address qualification, coverage planning, product packages, regional pricing, hardware-agnostic provisioning, and self-service applications for web, iOS, and Android. The platform is aimed at providers that want one operating environment across the subscriber lifecycle rather than a standalone billing application.
Pricing is handled through a Custom plan. According to the vendor’s pricing details, adoption is modular, pricing is based on active subscribers, and the proposal is scoped around selected modules. Managed services and the deployment model also affect the proposal. Operators can choose hosted, self-hosted, or hybrid deployment, giving the platform a fit across different operational preferences. The published plan structure does not include a free plan, so evaluation begins with defining the required modules and deployment approach with sales.
The strongest distinction is breadth. AEX combines recurring, prepaid, postpaid, and wholesale billing with automated invoicing, payment collections connected to payment providers, customer service and billing history, configurable workflows, notifications, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 monitoring and assurance. It also supports online, door-to-door, and phone order capture, plus white-label subscriber applications. Providers wanting end-to-end broadband operations should consider AEX, particularly when provisioning and network assurance belong in the same platform. Teams seeking a narrowly focused billing tool may prefer a simpler product with a smaller operational scope.
