Our verdict on AecroBot

AecroBot is a cloud-based Twitch chat moderation and management bot for streamers and moderators, particularly those who need fine-grained term matching. A channel grants the bot moderator permissions, then its settings and filters can be configured and bot administration delegated to moderators. The documented feature set is focused on Twitch workflows, making it a practical fit for solo streamers and small teams whose main need is managing chat rather than a broader streaming toolkit.

Its standout capability is configurable filtering. Regular-expression moderation presets support precise matching, while lookalike matching accounts for accented characters and leetspeak. The bot also provides spam and known follow-bot protection and can moderate messages held by Twitch AutoMod. Presets can be created, edited, copied, shared, and assigned timeout actions. Blocked-term management includes transferring terms between channels, and channel logs and statistics provide moderation records. Twitch AutoMod, BTTV, FFZ, and 7TV are listed integrations.

AecroBot’s administration tools suit moderators overseeing channel settings as well as chat enforcement: settings can be copied between channels, and moderators can be delegated bot administration. Its published documentation describes the bot as having no limitations, but does not explicitly state a price, so the free-plan label should not be treated as a published price. The documented workflows reviewed are Twitch-specific; streamers seeking verified moderation support for YouTube, Kick, or Discord should consider alternatives with clearly documented workflows for those platforms. Choose AecroBot for Twitch-centric, configurable chat moderation, not as a cross-platform moderation system.
