Our verdict on 8am MyCase

8am MyCase is cloud-based legal practice management software for lawyers and law firms. It brings case and contact management, client intake, calendaring, deadline management, document management, communications, time tracking, billing, payments, and financial reporting into one system. Its feature set also includes a secure client portal, online intake forms, trust accounting with three-way reconciliation, mobile access, and optional AI-assisted tools through 8am IQ. The platform is offered in Basic, Pro, and Advanced plans priced per active firm user.

According to the vendor's published plans, MyCase Basic costs $50 per user per month with annual billing. It includes case and contact management, time entry, invoicing, trust accounting, online payments, unlimited document storage, and a limited client portal. MyCase Pro costs $100 per user per month with annual billing and adds unlimited eSignature and document generation, automated workflows, client intake forms, legal CRM, two-way texting, chat, call logs, and 70+ integrations. MyCase Advanced costs $130 per user per month with annual billing and adds 8am IQ Case Assistant, 8am IQ Discovery Assistant with OCR, advanced document automation, Desktop Drive for PC and Mac, and conflict check tracking. A 10-day trial is available.

The platform fits firms that want broad operational coverage rather than a narrow tool for one workflow. Its integrations include Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Zapier, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, LawToolBox, and Smith.ai, while web, iOS, and Android support extend access across devices. Basic users access MyCase through a mobile browser; the mobile app is included with Pro and Advanced. Firms focused on intake, trust accounting, billing, client communications, and document workflows have a wide feature base to evaluate. Firms seeking a free plan or a more narrowly focused product may prefer a simpler alternative.
