Our verdict on 6crickets
6crickets is a web-based childcare management platform for districts, schools, PTAs, program providers, and families running after-school enrichment, extended-care, summer, and intersession programs. It brings registration, payments, rosters, attendance, scheduling, waitlists, refunds, family communication, and reporting into one system. Families can browse and book programs through a shared online destination, while providers and schools manage enrollment and operational information across programs and locations.
The free plan is a meaningful fit for organizations seeking low-cost registration and scheduling tools. The provider describes free registration and CRM access for small to mid-sized providers, with minimal cost for large providers. Operational coverage is broad for the category: customizable enrollment forms, installment and recurring payments, real-time rosters, attendance history, student check-in and check-out, instructor assignment, session transfers, refunds, and reports covering enrollment, attendance, revenue, and analytics. That combination suits programs managing multiple offerings without requiring separate tools for every enrollment task.
6crickets is more specialized than a general daycare management system. Its focus is after-school and enrichment programming, so full-service daycare operators may prefer a product designed around broader childcare operations. The platform is web-only, and its listed integration options are Stripe and Google Maps Platform, which may not fit organizations seeking a wider ecosystem. Programs that prioritize online booking, family messaging, staff scheduling, and billing in a focused web application should consider 6crickets; providers needing broader daycare coverage, more platform choices, or deeper integrations should compare alternatives.
