Port announced a $35 million Series B on October 15, 2024, led by Accel, with Bessemer Venture Partners and existing investors participating. Port said the round brought its total funding to $58 million. The announcement is historical; the company later announced a $100 million Series C in December 2025.

Who invested in Port’s $35 million Series B?

Accel led the round. Bessemer Venture Partners and existing investors also participated; Port’s press release named Team8 and TLV Partners among those existing investors. Port reported that the Series B brought its total funding to $58 million.

The financing was announced on October 15, 2024. Port’s announcement and its press release provide the company’s account of the round.

What does Port’s developer portal do?

Port describes its product as an internal developer portal: a customizable hub that brings together software and infrastructure information, engineering tools, and workflows. The idea is to give engineering teams a shared place to find services and carry out common work, rather than making developers navigate disconnected systems for every task.

Port’s earlier product description identifies capabilities such as a software catalog, self-service actions, scorecards, and automation. Its Series B announcement gives an example: creating a microservice through a few clicks while incorporating company practices. These are Port’s descriptions of available concepts and intended use, not proof that every customer uses every feature or achieves particular results.

Port says the portal is meant to help developers handle responsibilities beyond writing code, including delivery, cloud resources, incidents, and organizational requirements. The company presents centralized workflows and self-service as a way to address operational complexity and support consistent practices. The reviewed announcements do not independently establish productivity, compliance, or other customer outcomes.

Why did Port raise the money?

Port framed the Series B as funding to expand its internal developer portal business as engineering teams faced growing operational responsibilities. The company cited rapid growth: its October 2024 press release reported a sevenfold year-over-year revenue increase and an eightfold expansion of its user base since its Series A one year earlier. Those are company-reported figures, not independently verified measurements.

Port’s 2023 Series A announcement said it raised $18 million in that round and had raised $23 million total at that time. The company’s reported total after the 2024 Series B was $58 million; round amounts and cumulative totals refer to different snapshots and should not be casually added together.

What is the latest funding and company context?

In December 2025, Port announced a $100 million Series C at an $800 million valuation and said it had raised $158 million to date. In that announcement, Port described a broader direction beyond the internal developer portal category: an agentic SDLC platform. That is the company’s later positioning, not a neutral market classification.

Port’s 2024 press release named GitHub, LG, and British Telecom as customers and said GitHub selected Port for its engineering team. In its 2025 announcement, Port said it served hundreds of customers globally. These customer and scale statements are company claims.

What the announcement does—and does not—show

The Series B is evidence of a financing event and of how Port described its product, growth, and market opportunity in 2024. The funding amount and investor participation are clearly stated by the company. The reported growth rates, customer examples, product benefits, and later customer count are not independent performance assessments.

For organizations evaluating internal developer portals, the announcement alone does not establish which product is the best fit. A practical comparison should examine integration with existing tools, the flexibility of the software catalog and data model, self-service workflow options, governance support, implementation effort, and the vendor’s current product direction. Port’s later shift toward agentic SDLC positioning makes it especially useful to assess the product’s present scope rather than rely solely on its 2024 funding announcement.
