For an India-market buyer choosing between these 5G phones, the POCO X7 has the stronger listed display resolution and a more versatile rear-camera setup; the realme P4R is the battery-capacity choice, with an 8,000 mAh rated battery and a higher listed refresh rate. A third-party price snapshot shows the P4R ₹2,200 higher, but that is not a live-price guarantee. The comparison below uses published specifications, not hands-on testing.
POCO X7 vs realme P4R: specifications at a glance
These figures come from manufacturer pages, except for the price observations, which come from third-party comparison listings. The POCO battery figure needs particular care because the cited Xiaomi specification page is for the UAE market, while comparison listings give a conflicting number.
| Specification | POCO X7 | realme P4R |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED; 1,220 × 2,712 resolution; up to 120 Hz (Xiaomi UAE specification page) | LCD; up to 144 Hz; realme lists 1,200-nit peak brightness |
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra, 4 nm, up to 2.5 GHz | MediaTek Dimensity 6300, identified by realme as 6 nm |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro | 50 MP main camera listed |
| Battery and charging | 5,110 mAh typical and 45 W; Xiaomi UAE page lists a charger in the box | 8,000 mAh and 45 W |
| Software listed | Current regional software version not established by the cited comparison specification | realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 |
Which phone has the better display?
The POCO X7 has the higher listed resolution and an AMOLED panel. Its 1,220 × 2,712 display should appeal to buyers prioritizing sharpness and panel type. The P4R instead lists a 144 Hz refresh rate, compared with up to 120 Hz for the POCO. That is a higher refresh-rate figure, not proof by itself of a better overall display or smoother performance in every app.
How do performance and cameras compare?
Chipsets
On the specifications provided, the POCO X7’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra is the higher-tier listed chipset; the P4R uses the Dimensity 6300. Chipset names and manufacturing-process figures do not substitute for comparable device-level benchmarks, so they do not establish a measured performance gap in specific games or workloads.

Rear cameras
The POCO offers three listed rear cameras: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 2 MP macro. realme lists a 50 MP main camera for the P4R. That gives the POCO more stated framing options, but megapixel counts and camera count alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Battery capacity: the P4R leads on paper
realme lists an 8,000 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the India-market P4R. Xiaomi’s UAE POCO X7 specification page lists 5,110 mAh typical capacity and 45 W charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not a comparable endurance test; capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone will last for a particular user’s workload.

There is a discrepancy worth checking before buying: comparison listings give the POCO X7 a 5,500 mAh figure, but that conflicts with the Xiaomi UAE page. Use the official specification for the relevant market and confirm the exact India SKU if local capacity is important. Do not treat a figure for a different region as automatically applicable to an India unit.
realme’s India page also promotes multi-day use and presents YouTube and Spotify playback figures as realme Lab data, while noting that actual results may vary. Those are manufacturer test claims, not independent predictions of everyday battery life.

Price difference and value
A Smartprix comparison snapshot, updated on 2026-10-06, reports the POCO X7 at ₹17,999 at Flipkart and the realme P4R at ₹20,199 at Amazon: a ₹2,200 difference in that snapshot. 91mobiles also reports those figures. They are third-party listing observations, not guaranteed or necessarily current checkout prices; variant, stock, coupons, bank offers, and delivery can change the amount. Check the exact RAM/storage configuration and final price before deciding.
At those observed prices, the POCO snapshot favors buyers seeking the higher-resolution AMOLED display and broader listed rear-camera array. The P4R’s price premium buys a much larger stated battery and a higher refresh-rate specification. Whether that trade is worthwhile depends on which of those differences matters more to you—not on a general claim that one is better value at every current price.

Which should you buy?
- Choose the POCO X7 if display resolution, AMOLED, or an ultra-wide camera are higher priorities, and the price available to you is competitive.
- Choose the realme P4R if its stated 8,000 mAh battery capacity is the leading priority or you specifically prefer its listed 144 Hz refresh rate.
- Check before checkout: confirm the India-market model, RAM/storage variant, warranty, supported bands, stock, and final price. The cited specifications and prices do not establish availability or details for other regions.
Keep the P4R distinct from the realme P4: realme’s P4 page describes a different phone, including a 7,000 mAh battery and an AMOLED panel. Those specifications do not describe the P4R.
