Which screen is better for you?
POCO M7 Pro 5G: higher resolution and AMOLED
The POCO’s 6.67-inch panel is listed as AMOLED with 2400 × 1080 resolution. That gives it the specification advantage for detail and panel type compared with the Redmi’s HD+ screen. These figures do not establish independent results for brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility.
Redmi 15A 5G: larger viewing area
The Redmi screen is 6.9 inches diagonally, so it offers more physical display area. Xiaomi India lists a refresh rate up to 120Hz and 800-nit peak brightness. Its HD+ resolution is lower than the POCO’s stated resolution, so the choice is between a larger screen and a sharper panel on paper.

Performance: chipset names do not settle speed
The POCO uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025-Ultra; Xiaomi lists the Redmi’s T8300 5G as an octa-core 6nm chip with two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. Those specifications alone cannot show which phone feels faster in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads. No comparable independent performance testing for these exact models is established here.
Cameras: compare hardware, not megapixels alone
POCO lists a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2MP depth camera, and a 20MP front camera. Xiaomi India lists a 32MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for the Redmi. The POCO therefore has higher listed resolutions and specified OIS on its main camera, but sensor resolution and stabilization specifications are not substitutes for comparable photo and video tests.
Battery capacity versus charging speed
The Redmi’s 6300mAh typical battery is larger by capacity than the POCO’s 5110mAh typical battery. POCO lists 45W charging, while Xiaomi India lists 15W charging for the Redmi, as well as 7.5W wired reverse charging. Battery capacity and charging ratings do not establish real-world endurance, charging time, or performance under a particular usage pattern.
Software, updates, and durability
Xiaomi India lists the Redmi with Android 16 and HyperOS 3.0 and states four years of Android updates plus six years of security updates. Xiaomi Global’s POCO specifications page lists Xiaomi HyperOS but does not state an update-support duration; that omission is not evidence of a particular shorter policy.

The listed protection ratings differ: POCO’s product page advertises IP64, while Xiaomi India lists IP52 for the Redmi. These ratings are not equivalent. The models also differ in listed connectivity and extras, so check the specifications for the exact regional variant, especially if NFC, microSD expansion, or a particular network configuration matters to you.

A 91mobiles comparison listing crawled around the week before October 5, 2026 showed ₹14,999 for the POCO M7 Pro and ₹16,189 for the Redmi 15A 5G. The arithmetic difference is ₹1,190, with the Redmi listed higher. This is a third-party, volatile listing snapshot—not an official price, a guaranteed current quote, or proof that the two listings are for matching RAM and storage variants. Xiaomi India’s surfaced specifications page did not provide a usable retail price.
Before treating that difference as a value comparison, check the current seller listings and match RAM and storage. Also verify seller, warranty, network-band compatibility, and local availability; the cited prices are Indian rupees and should not be generalized to other markets.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the POCO on specifications if you prioritize its FHD+ AMOLED screen, 45W charging, or the listed 50MP OIS main and 20MP front cameras.
- Choose the Redmi on specifications if you want a larger 6.9-inch display, a higher nominal battery capacity, or Xiaomi India’s stated software-update durations.
- Compare exact variants and local terms if price is decisive. The observed India listings do not establish a like-for-like price comparison, and regional configuration, warranty, and compatibility may differ.
