The India-market POCO F7 and Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G trade different strengths: the India F7 has a larger stated battery, while Motorola lists a more versatile rear-camera system, a higher-refresh-rate screen and wireless charging. Motorola India currently displays the Edge 70 Pro at ₹39,999, but available POCO price snapshots are inconsistent and one listing is out of stock, so there is no reliable fixed price gap to quote. The POCO battery figure also depends on the region-specific model.
Price difference in India: check live listings before comparing
Motorola India’s store page displays the Edge 70 Pro in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations at an offer price of ₹39,999, against an MRP of ₹51,999. This is a store-page snapshot accessed in 2026, not a guaranteed price at checkout. Motorola India’s Edge 70 Pro listing is the relevant place to verify current variants and price.
For the POCO F7, 91mobiles listed ₹35,999 but marked it out of stock; other comparison pages show different POCO prices. Those snapshots do not establish a dependable difference from Motorola’s displayed offer. Before deciding, compare the same day’s in-stock listings, seller, RAM and storage configuration, and final checkout price. Do not treat an out-of-stock listing or MRP as the amount you will actually pay.

For context only, TechRadar reported POCO F7 launch prices of £389/$399 for 12GB/256GB and £429/$449 for 12GB/512GB in the UK/Europe in 2025. These historical prices are for other markets and should not be compared directly with India prices. TechRadar’s POCO F7 review gives that launch context.

Specs refer to the cited sources and may vary by region or retail SKU. Motorola’s detailed support specifications are from its UK support page; check the India product listing for India-specific SKU details. Motorola Edge 70 Pro support specifications and Motorola’s product announcement provide its stated specifications. POCO’s official FAQ clarifies the regional battery difference: POCO F7 battery FAQ.
Battery: India POCO F7 has the higher stated capacity
POCO lists the India F7 at 7550mAh typical capacity (7410mAh rated), but its global F7 is a different configuration: 6500mAh typical (6330mAh rated). Motorola states that the Edge 70 Pro has a 6500mAh battery. On typical-capacity figures, the India POCO is 1050mAh higher; the global POCO and Motorola are both listed at 6500mAh typical.
Capacity alone does not determine how long a phone lasts between charges. Screen use, signal conditions, software and workload affect runtime, and these figures are not a matched battery test. Motorola support also advertises “Up to 51 hours of battery life”; that is Motorola’s claim, not a head-to-head result against POCO.

Display: Motorola offers the higher refresh rate
The POCO F7’s listed 6.83-inch AMOLED is slightly larger diagonally than Motorola’s 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED. Their stated resolutions are close: 2772 × 1280 for POCO and 2772 × 1272 for Motorola. Motorola advertises refresh rates up to 144Hz, compared with POCO’s up to 120Hz.
A higher maximum refresh rate may matter to someone who values smoother motion, but it does not by itself establish which display looks better. Branding and specifications cannot replace personal preference for brightness, color, or screen tuning.
Performance: different chips, no proven head-to-head winner
The POCO F7 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while Motorola identifies the Edge 70 Pro’s chip as MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme. They are different platforms, and the cited material does not establish a directly comparable independent benchmark for both exact India configurations. That makes a categorical speed winner unsupported.

Motorola says the Dimensity 8500 Extreme offers up to 30% power-efficiency gains and up to 25% higher peak performance. Those are manufacturer claims with comparison footnotes, not an independent comparison with the POCO F7. If sustained gaming or demanding apps are decisive, look for tests of the exact India models rather than inferring performance from the chip names alone.

On paper, Motorola has the broader camera array: its specifications include a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide and 50MP 3.5× optical periscope telephoto on the rear, plus a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. TechRadar’s global POCO F7 review lists a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 20MP selfie camera, with no dedicated telephoto camera.
That gives Motorola a stated hardware advantage for framing subjects at different distances and for ultrawide resolution. Megapixel counts and lens specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos; no matched camera comparison for these exact models is established here.

Software and durability: verify the details that matter to you
The cited launch specifications list Android 15 with HyperOS 2 for POCO and Android 16 for Motorola. These are launch-version details, not a statement of either phone’s current software version or future update lifespan. The available evidence does not establish a directly comparable update-support commitment, so check each manufacturer’s current India support information if years of updates are a deciding factor.
No comparable durability rating is established in the cited specifications here. If water resistance or drop protection matters, confirm the exact India SKU’s rating and warranty terms in its official local listing rather than assuming the regional versions match.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the India POCO F7 if
- You want its stated 7550mAh typical India battery capacity and have verified that the listing is the India model, not the 6500mAh global version.
- You prefer the Snapdragon platform, while recognizing that the cited information does not prove it is faster than Motorola’s chip in a direct test.
- You find it at a better same-day price for the same storage class and a reliable, in-stock seller.
Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if
- You value having a dedicated 3.5× optical periscope telephoto alongside the main and ultrawide cameras.
- You prefer its listed 50MP ultrawide and autofocus selfie camera specifications.
- You want a screen advertised up to 144Hz or 15W wireless charging, in addition to 90W wired charging.
These are spec-based reasons to choose one over the other, not a verdict from hands-on testing. The practical decision turns on the current in-stock price, the POCO’s regional configuration, and which camera, display and charging features you will use.
