Pinterest appointed James Dibbo, most recently Amazon’s vice president and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising and Corporate Development, as its next chief financial officer. The appointment was announced October 5, 2026, and takes effect October 26. Dibbo will report to CEO Bill Ready and lead Pinterest’s global finance organization.
Who is Pinterest’s new CFO from Amazon?
James Dibbo is a finance executive whose most recent Amazon role covered finance for Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Music, Audible and Twitch. Pinterest said he also held two broader finance positions during his decade at Amazon: CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer. Those earlier jobs were distinct from his latest entertainment, advertising and corporate development remit.
Before Amazon, Dibbo was CFO of P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance leadership positions at Tesco and BT Group. He began his finance career at PwC in London. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA).

Dibbo’s appointment becomes effective October 26, 2026. On that date, Julia Brau Donnelly will cease serving as Pinterest’s CFO. She will remain with the company as an adviser through October 30 to support the transition.

What will Dibbo oversee at Pinterest?
Reporting to CEO Bill Ready, Dibbo will lead Pinterest’s global finance organization. Pinterest’s announcement lists finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investor relations, treasury, tax, business and corporate development, internal audit, and workplace among the functions in his remit.
What did Pinterest say about the appointment?
Dibbo said he admired Pinterest’s position “at the intersection of visual search, shopping and advertising,” and described an opportunity to help people turn inspiration into action while delivering value for advertisers. Ready called Dibbo “an exceptional finance leader” whose operating rigor, strategic range and growth mindset would benefit Pinterest.
