Investing.com’s October 3, 2026, item concerns a PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust (NYSE: PMT) insider transaction. A secondary filing-data record says Chief Accounting Officer Gregory L. Hendry sold 2,444 shares on October 1 under a previously adopted Rule 10b5-1 plan. The dates are distinct: the transaction was dated October 1, the reported Form 4 was filed October 2, and Investing.com published its item October 3.
What the reported Form 4 says
FilingExplorer’s transaction record attributes the following details to the Form 4 associated with the Investing.com item. The SEC document itself was not available in the Investing.com page, so these details are reported by a secondary source rather than independently confirmed against the original filing.
| Detail | Reported information |
|---|---|
| Reporting person | Gregory L. Hendry, identified as PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust’s Chief Accounting Officer (FilingExplorer) |
| Transaction date | October 1, 2026 (FilingExplorer) |
| Transaction | Sale of 2,444 common shares of beneficial interest (FilingExplorer) |
| Price per share | $7.86 (FilingExplorer) |
| Reported holdings afterward | 4,886 shares (FilingExplorer) |
| Plan context | Described as an automatic sale under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted March 20, 2026 (FilingExplorer) |
The reported share count and price imply gross proceeds of about $19,210 before any applicable fees or taxes. That is an arithmetic estimate from the secondary source’s figures, not a separate amount quoted from the SEC filing.
How the three dates differ
- October 1, 2026: the date FilingExplorer reports for the share sale.
- October 2, 2026: the filing date associated with the Form 4 in FilingExplorer’s record.
- October 3, 2026: the publication date of Investing.com’s item, titled “Form 4 PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust For: 3 October.”
The title’s “For: 3 October” refers to the news item’s date, not the reported transaction date.

What the 10b5-1 detail means—and does not mean
The secondary record describes the sale as automatic under a Rule 10b5-1 plan adopted on March 20, 2026. A plan established in advance provides relevant context for a reported insider transaction, but this record does not establish Hendry’s motives or what he thinks about PMT’s prospects. The sale alone should not be treated as a bullish or bearish signal.

Investing.com’s page identifies PMT and gives the October 3 publication date, but its embedded filing did not load. PennyMac’s investor-relations insider-filings index lists Forms 3, 4 and 5, and includes earlier Hendry Form 4 entries dated September 2 and August 4, 2026. Those earlier records show this is not the only listed filing, but do not by themselves establish a motive or personal strategy.
