Pandora Plus is the lower-cost option for ad-free personalized stations and offline station listening. Pandora Premium costs more but adds on-demand playback of available songs and albums, playlists, and downloads from your collection. Pandora’s direct monthly prices, effective September 22, 2026, are $5.99 for Plus and $11.99 for Premium; prices and billing controls may differ when you subscribe through another provider.
How Plus and Premium differ
Both plans build on Pandora’s personalized radio service and remove ads from music listening. The main distinction is how much control you want: Plus focuses on stations, while Premium adds the ability to choose available music on demand and manage a collection.

Feature distinctions are described in Pandora’s plans and its subscription documentation. Licensing restrictions can affect particular tracks, so neither plan guarantees that every song will always be available for every action.

Choose Plus for station-first listening
Plus fits listeners who are happy to let Pandora shape the music through personalized stations and want ad-free listening, more skip and replay flexibility, and offline station access. It is the less expensive direct monthly plan.

Choose Premium for more control
Premium makes sense if you want to select available tracks or albums instead of relying only on stations, build playlists, or download chosen items from your collection. Its central upgrade is control over selection and collection—not a different kind of radio service.
What the current prices mean
Pandora Support’s September 2026 rate-change FAQ lists direct monthly prices of $5.99 for Plus and $11.99 for Premium. The adjusted rates apply to new purchases and to existing subscriptions at the next renewal processed on or after September 22, 2026. Those figures are direct monthly rates, not a guarantee of what every subscriber will pay. Apple, Google Play, or another billing provider may handle the subscription and set the displayed checkout or renewal amount. Confirm the price in the account or provider’s subscription settings. The official material reviewed here does not establish current annual rates after the September change.
Offline listening has different limits on each plan
With Plus, Pandora automatically downloads several of your top stations for offline listening. Premium instead allows downloads from your collection, with availability constrained by the capabilities of the mobile device. These modes are not interchangeable: Plus is centered on stations, while Premium provides collection-based downloads.

Offline listening also requires periodic reauthorization. Pandora’s Android support guidance says to reconnect to a network at least once every 30 days to reauthorize offline stations. Pandora’s offline-listening help page explains the feature and its requirements.

Subscriptions renew automatically after a trial or paid access period unless canceled in advance. A rate change applies at the next renewal, not partway through a current billing period. If you cancel, access continues through the end of the paid period. For subscriptions billed through Apple or another provider, manage or cancel through that provider and check its stated cancellation deadline. Pandora’s Apple subscription instructions describe that billing route.
