Green Bay will be without guards Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk for its Week 4 game against Tampa Bay. Their absences deepen an already unsettled offensive-line picture, but the Packers’ Friday injury report did not identify a final starting five. The status update was published October 2, 2026, before Sunday’s game; lineup expectations may change.
Why Banks and Monk are out
Aaron Banks
Banks was ruled out with knee and toe injuries. He missed the regular-season opener in Minnesota with a knee injury, then injured his toe 22 snaps into the Week 2 game against the New York Jets. The Packers report said he had not practiced since. The team’s October 2 report announced his status, which is also listed as out on the NFL injury report.
Jacob Monk
Monk was ruled out with a quadricep injury after leaving the Week 3 game against Atlanta in the fourth quarter. Green Bay lists him as a center/guard in its detailed injury report, although the announcement refers to both him and Banks as guards. Donovan Jennings finished the Atlanta game at right guard. The Packers’ report and the NFL listing both show Monk as out.
What Green Bay did to add line depth
The Packers signed veteran guards Kevin Zeitler and Laken Tomlinson to the 53-man roster and added former first-round pick Mekhi Becton Sr. to the practice squad. The team reported that all three practiced in full that week. Those moves add available personnel and experience, but do not establish who will start or how the five-man unit will be arranged.

Why the final interior combination remained uncertain
Center/guard Jager Burton was questionable with a groin injury after limited participation Thursday and Friday. His status left another interior-line contingency unresolved; the injury report did not confirm that he would be available.
Speaking Friday morning, with one more practice before final decisions, head coach Matt LaFleur said: “We have a plan in place right now, and if everything goes the way we plan it to go, then we’ll be set,” according to the Packers’ report. That statement described a plan, not a confirmed starting lineup. The report gave no final five-man combination.
