For India, the Reno15 Pro and Reno16 differ most in camera hardware, processor, battery capacity and available memory configurations. The clearest like-for-like price comparison in the available official figures is 12GB/256GB: Reno15 Pro launched at ₹67,999, while Reno16 was later displayed at ₹72,999 in OPPO’s store. That ₹5,000 gap compares a launch price with a later store price, not prices observed on the same date. Prices and specifications vary by market, so check the exact local model before buying.

India prices and the difference
OPPO’s India announcements list launch prices for both phones, while its store listing supplies a later observed Reno16 price. These figures have different dates and contexts, so they should not be read as a same-day comparison.

For matching 12GB/256GB configurations, the Reno15 Pro’s ₹67,999 launch price is ₹5,000 below the Reno16’s later observed ₹72,999 store price. Because the Reno15 figure is a launch price and the Reno16 figure is a later store display, that arithmetic does not establish which phone is cheaper at the same time today. The Reno16 launch price for 12GB/256GB was ₹67,999, equal to the Reno15 Pro’s launch price, but the launch dates differ. Comparing Reno15 Pro’s 12GB/256GB price with Reno16’s 8GB/256GB price would also mix memory tiers.

How the specifications differ in practical terms
Camera hardware
Reno15 Pro’s listed rear setup combines a 200MP main camera with a 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto, with optical image stabilization listed for the main and telephoto cameras. OPPO describes Reno16 India as an all-50MP rear system and calls out a 3.5x telephoto. The higher megapixel count on Reno15 Pro’s main camera does not by itself establish better photos; sensor size, processing and results in different lighting matter, and no controlled camera comparison is available here.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsProcessor
The CPH2813 Reno15 Pro specification page names MediaTek Dimensity 8450; OPPO India names Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for Reno16. These chip names alone do not show which phone is faster in everyday use or games. A reliable performance ranking would require comparable independent benchmarks or testing on the exact regional models.
Rank #3

Battery, charging and display
OPPO lists Reno16 with a 6700mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. For Reno15 Pro, the specification page gives both typical capacity (6200mAh) and rated capacity (6035mAh), plus up to 80W SUPERVOOC. Capacity and charging figures do not establish real-world battery life, which depends on use and conditions; no endurance test is claimed here.
Reno15 Pro’s listed display is larger at 6.32 inches and includes a stated FHD+ resolution. The India Reno16 page specifies a 6.05-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display but does not state a resolution in the cited description. The smaller listed diagonal may appeal if you prefer a more compact handset, while the Reno15 Pro provides more screen area; exact dimensions and panel specifications should be checked for the model sold in your region.

Durability and configuration
OPPO India states IP69K resistance for Reno16. The cited Reno15 Pro specification page does not state an IP rating, which is not proof that the phone lacks one. Verify the certification and warranty terms for the exact local variants before treating durability as a deciding advantage.
The listed configurations are not identical: Reno15 Pro is shown with 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB storage; Reno16 India is shown with 8GB/256GB or 12GB/256GB. Reno15 Pro is therefore the listed option with a 512GB configuration, while Reno16 offers a lower-RAM 8GB tier.

Which phone should you choose?
There is no evidence here for a universal winner. Make the choice against your own priorities and the current local price:
- Consider Reno15 Pro if its listed 200MP main-camera hardware, larger stated display, or 12GB/512GB configuration fits your needs and its current price is competitive.
- Consider Reno16 if its India-listed 6700mAh battery, all-50MP rear-camera arrangement, stated IP69K resistance, or 8GB/256GB configuration is a better fit.
- For speed or photo quality: compare independent tests of the exact models rather than ranking them from processor names or megapixel counts alone.
- For value: compare current prices for the same country and memory tier, then include any differences in warranty, included accessories and local availability.
OPPO says Reno16 pricing, availability and release timing vary by market. The India specifications and prices should not be assumed to apply elsewhere; consult OPPO’s global Reno16 announcement and the official listing for your country. OPPO India’s Reno15 launch announcement named Amazon, Flipkart, retail outlets and the OPPO e-store as sales channels; its Reno16 announcement also named Amazon and other outlets. A launch announcement does not confirm current stock or price.
What comes in the Reno15 Pro box?
The cited Reno15 Pro specification page lists a charger and protective case in the box, while noting that box contents can vary by market. Check the packaging information for your local model rather than assuming those accessories are included everywhere.
