The OPPO Reno16c 5G adds a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, while the Reno15c has a 2MP macro camera in its three-camera rear setup. Both are listed with 7000mAh batteries and 80W charging, but they use different processors and have different India prices. OPPO’s published Reno15c prices are launch prices; its Reno16c prices were stated as correct on 9 September 2026 and may change.
India prices: compare storage as well as the starting price
OPPO India lists two Reno15c configurations in its launch notice. Its Reno16c 5G price page lists three configurations and dates those prices to 9 September 2026. The amounts below are manufacturer-published India prices, not verified live retailer prices.

For the closest published configuration match, compare the 12GB/256GB Reno15c at ₹37,999 with the 12GB/256GB Reno16c at ₹59,999: a ₹22,000 difference between those stated prices. The 8GB options do not have matching storage, since the Reno15c listing is 256GB and the Reno16c listing begins at 128GB. Camera hardware: Reno16c adds optical telephoto zoom
Reno15c
OPPO specifies a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera on the rear. Its front camera is 50MP and described as ultra-wide. The launch notice claims 4K HDR recording up to 60fps on the front and main cameras.

Reno16c 5G
OPPO lists a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Its front camera is 50MP; the detail table lists 4K video at 30fps.
The practical specification difference is the Reno16c’s dedicated telephoto lens, which provides an optical-zoom option not listed for the Reno15c. Megapixel counts and lens specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos overall. The display specifications use different brightness terms: OPPO describes 1400 nits peak brightness for the Reno15c and 1400 nits HBM for the Reno16c. They should not be treated as directly comparable measurements. The processors are different, but no independent benchmark or side-by-side performance test is established here, so the chipset names do not prove which phone is faster in everyday use.
Battery, charging and durability
OPPO lists both phones with a 7000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. For the Reno16c, OPPO distinguishes 7000mAh typical capacity from 6850mAh rated capacity. These are manufacturer specifications, not a measured comparison of screen-on time or endurance.

OPPO’s Reno15c launch notice says a 10-minute charge provides up to 5.4 hours of WhatsApp or YouTube use and a full charge takes approximately 64 minutes. Those are OPPO-reported use-case and charging claims, not independent test results; outcomes depend on conditions and usage.
OPPO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for the Reno15c in its launch notice. The Reno16c price and detail page used for this comparison does not establish a protection rating, so do not assume it has the same water- or dust-resistance specifications. Which phone makes more sense?
Choose the Reno15c if its published price and storage fit
- Its listed India configurations both include 256GB storage, and the launch prices are lower than the Reno16c prices published by OPPO.
- Its published camera setup includes a macro camera and an ultra-wide front camera, alongside the main and ultra-wide rear cameras.
- OPPO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for this model in its launch notice.
Consider the Reno16c for its telephoto hardware
- Its published rear-camera specifications include a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
- It is listed with a display refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
- Its India configurations include 128GB or 256GB storage, with the 12GB/256GB option priced at ₹59,999 as of 9 September 2026.
There is no verified independent camera, battery or performance comparison here to support a claim that either phone is the overall winner. Make the decision around the specific hardware you need and the current price for the same RAM and storage where possible.
Check the India model before buying
