The India-market OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G is easiest to recommend if you want a dedicated 2x telephoto camera for portraits, a polished curved OLED display, and fast wired charging. Its Snapdragon 778G is better suited to everyday use than demanding gaming, and the phone’s mono speaker, software clutter, and launch-period value make it a less convincing all-rounder. Its standout reason to buy is the portrait camera—not raw performance or the most specifications for your money.
This assessment draws on India-focused reviews and specifications from 2023. Prices and reviewer experiences below are historical, not current offers or guarantees about today’s software support. Regional Reno10 Pro variants differ, so check the exact model before applying these specifications elsewhere.
What makes the Reno10 Pro worth considering?
Its camera setup gives you a dedicated telephoto lens rather than asking the main camera to crop in for every zoomed portrait. The Indian Express review describes a 50MP primary camera, a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera on the India review unit. There is a limit to that advantage: 2x is a modest reach compared with a periscope zoom system. The Indian Express reviewer found 5x and 20x results often blurry, so do not buy this phone expecting clean long-distance zoom. The ultra-wide camera adds a different framing option, but the strongest case for the camera system is portraits at or near 2x.

How good is the display?
Display quality was a consistent positive in the India reviews. MySmartPrice describes a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED panel, while The Indian Express calls it a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved OLED display and also refers to FHD+ resolution in its prose. Those resolution descriptions are not consistent enough to reconcile here. The practical takeaway is that reviewers liked the large, curved OLED screen; exact panel specifications should be checked against the India model listing. Is performance good enough for demanding use?
OPPO India lists the India-market Reno10 Pro with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. The Indian Express reviewer found it handled everyday browsing, social media, and light gaming, but said it was not suited to heavy usage. How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
For the India model, OPPO lists a typical 4,600mAh battery capacity and a rated capacity of 4,440mAh, with 80W SUPERVOOC among its supported charging protocols. Battery life in reviews varied with usage and test method rather than producing one dependable runtime figure. The Indian Express reviewer reported all-day use and more than five hours of screen-on time under their stated use; MySmartPrice described battery life as average. 91mobiles published its own test and usage results, which should be read as that reviewer’s experience, not a promise for every owner. Charging figures also depend on whether you mean the company’s claim or a reviewer’s result. 91mobiles reported roughly 40 minutes for a full charge in its review, compared with OPPO’s claimed 28 minutes. Treat the former as a publication-specific result and the latter as a manufacturer claim, not as a guaranteed time in every charging setup. 91mobiles’ review reports both figures.
What are the main drawbacks?
- Mono speaker: The phone lacks stereo speakers, a notable compromise if you often watch video or play games without headphones. Reviews flag this limitation. MySmartPrice and 91mobiles discuss the phone’s drawbacks.
- Performance ceiling: The Snapdragon 778G and the Indian Express reviewer’s experience point to everyday use and light gaming, rather than heavy workloads, as the safer expectation.
- Software clutter: The Indian Express reviewer noted bloatware. That review also mentioned a four-year software-support promise at the time; it is a review-era promise, not confirmation of the phone’s current support status.
- Limited zoom reach: A useful 2x portrait lens does not make the camera a long-range zoom system; the Indian Express reviewer found higher-magnification results often blurry.
- Value depends on priorities: At its India launch-period positioning, reviewers questioned the balance of price and performance. Buyers who care more about raw performance or broad specifications may find alternatives more compelling, even if those models do not offer the same dedicated telephoto camera.
Was the Reno10 Pro worth its India launch-period price?
MySmartPrice and 91mobiles each cited ₹39,999 in their 2023 India review context. MySmartPrice reviewed the 12GB/256GB India configuration and gave the phone 7.9/10; 91mobiles gave it 3.5/5. These are historical publisher figures, not a current price, live stock indication, or direct comparison on a shared scoring scale. Who should buy it?
- Consider it if portrait photography is a priority, you want a dedicated 2x optical telephoto camera, value the curved OLED screen, and appreciate fast wired charging.
