If your OneStream Live YouTube playlist stream stops after the first video, first confirm that you mean a pre-recorded playlist sent from OneStream—not a YouTube watch playlist—and then check plan access, every video’s upload and processing state, the scheduled broadcast, and the selected YouTube destination. OneStream’s published guidance lists general causes of pre-recorded streams ending early, but does not identify one universal fix for this exact symptom.
First, confirm which playlist is stopping
This guide covers an outgoing pre-recorded playlist created in OneStream Live: multiple uploaded videos arranged to play back-to-back in one live broadcast. It does not diagnose a viewer’s ordinary YouTube playlist stopping during playback; that issue is separate from OneStream’s broadcast setup. OneStream describes its playlist feature and setup flow in its pre-recorded playlist instructions.
Check whether your plan supports playlists
OneStream’s help documentation says playlist streaming is available on Professional and Enterprise plans, while its Free plan does not support creating or streaming playlists. If playlist creation is missing from your account, check your plan before troubleshooting media files. The current Getting Started and Free Plan Limitations documentation also lists Free-plan limits for pre-recorded streams, destinations, resolution, storage, and retention; confirm the current account limits there because plan details can change.

Check every video in the sequence
A playlist may stop advancing if a selected file did not upload or process fully, is damaged, or uses an unsupported video or audio format. OneStream’s troubleshooting overview lists these among general reasons a pre-recorded stream can stop before its media finishes. It does not establish which specific format or codec caused this symptom, so avoid assuming a particular conversion setting is the answer.

- Open the scheduled pre-recorded broadcast and verify that every intended video appears in the playlist and in the correct order.
- Check each file’s upload state. If an upload was interrupted or appears incomplete, upload that video again and wait for processing to finish before broadcasting.
- If one item repeatedly stops playback, try that video separately, if practical. A failure tied to the same file points toward that file’s upload or integrity; it does not by itself prove the cause.
- If the file still fails, use a clean copy or export a new file in a format accepted by OneStream. The cited public guidance does not specify compatible codecs, so consult OneStream’s current file requirements or support rather than guessing.
Verify the schedule and YouTube destination
OneStream’s documented web flow is to open Pre-recorded Stream, choose Add Videos, select the videos, continue, choose social destinations, enter stream details, and click Schedule Broadcast. Reopen the broadcast details and confirm the playlist, schedule, and destination match what you intended. Incorrect scheduling, disconnected destinations, and destination-platform errors are among the general causes OneStream identifies for incomplete pre-recorded streams.
For YouTube, connect the account under Social Platforms before scheduling. OneStream says the connected YouTube account then appears as an available destination. Check that the expected channel is connected and selected for this broadcast; setup instructions are in OneStream’s YouTube streaming guide.

Use the symptom and status to narrow the cause
Note what happens at the transition after the first video: whether the broadcast remains pending or processing, fails immediately, shows a black screen or playback error, or stops before the file itself finishes. Record which video was playing and whether the YouTube event still appears live. OneStream lists these kinds of symptoms in its troubleshooting overview, but the public guidance does not define exact status meanings or a first-video-specific repair. Treat the status as context for diagnosis, not proof of a particular cause.
When the playlist still stops after video one

OneStream’s public troubleshooting guidance does not establish a single confirmed fix for a stream that stops after exactly the first playlist item, so the cause may depend on the broadcast, media, or destination.
