The OnePlus Nord 6 has the stronger listed processor, larger battery and faster-refresh display; the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro offers a more versatile rear-camera setup with a dedicated periscope telephoto lens. The better pick depends on whether you value those listed performance and battery advantages or optical zoom and Nothing’s design and software identity. The available prices are regional snapshots, and the listed storage configurations differ, so they do not establish a like-for-like value winner.

The following specifications are reported by 91mobiles, with the core chipset and battery distinction also reported by Gadgets 360. Processor
The listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 gives the Nord 6 the paper-spec advantage over the Phone (4a) Pro’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That comparison suggests the Nord may suit buyers prioritizing the processor tier, but it does not quantify everyday speed, gaming performance, heat or sustained performance. The supplied comparison data is not enough to establish those outcomes through independent testing.

Display
The Nothing is listed with a slightly larger display at 6.83 inches, while the Nord 6 is listed at 6.78 inches and a higher 165Hz refresh rate versus 144Hz. Both are listed as AMOLED panels. A higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, but these specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better; brightness, calibration and other panel characteristics are not established here.
Which phone has the more useful cameras?
The Phone (4a) Pro has the more flexible listed rear-camera hardware: in addition to main and ultrawide cameras, it includes a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with up to 3.5x optical zoom. Optical zoom uses the telephoto camera to provide a closer view; it is distinct from digitally enlarged images. The Nord 6 is listed with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, without a dedicated telephoto camera in this comparison.
Nothing’s US product page describes a three-camera system with a Sony sensor and advertises “140x ultra zoom.” That is a vendor feature claim; the advertised maximum zoom should not be read as equivalent to 3.5x optical zoom. The camera specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos or video. See the Nothing US product page.

Battery capacity and charging: what the specifications tell you
91mobiles lists a 9000mAh battery and 80W wired charging for the Nord 6, compared with 5400mAh and 50W for the Phone (4a) Pro. Those listed figures favor the Nord on capacity and charging wattage, but battery capacity does not translate directly into a guaranteed number of hours: screen use, network conditions, software and test methods affect endurance.
91mobiles reports PCMark battery-test results of 20h 46m for the Nord 6 and 13h 49m for the Phone (4a) Pro. These are that publication’s test results, not universal estimates of runtime; the available information does not provide enough method detail to generalize them to every user.
Price difference and storage variants
India listing
At the time represented by 91mobiles’ comparison, its listed prices were ₹46,999 for the Nord 6 and ₹46,210 for the Phone (4a) Pro—a ₹789 difference, with the Nord 6 higher. The same summary lists 256GB storage for the Nord and 128GB for the Nothing. Because the listed storage configurations differ, this is not a like-for-like price comparison, and the figures are not confirmed as manufacturer prices. Retailer prices, stock and offers can change. See 91mobiles’ comparison.

United States and United Kingdom store listings
Nothing’s US page displayed $419 for a selected 8GB RAM + 128GB Phone (4a) Pro, alongside a displayed prior price of $499. Its UK page listed £519 for a selected 8GB RAM + 128GB version. These are different regional store listings and cannot be compared directly with each other or with the India figures. They also do not provide a matching Nord 6 price. Check the current regional listing before buying: Nothing US and Nothing UK.
No manufacturer-confirmed Nord 6 launch price or current official specifications are established by the available OnePlus-domain search; the India figure above is a secondary listing, not an official OnePlus price. Compare the same RAM and storage configuration at local retailers before deciding which is better value.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software support, design and durability
91mobiles lists Android 16 for both phones and reports four years of OS updates plus six years of security updates for the Nord 6, versus three years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the Phone (4a) Pro. These durations should be verified with the manufacturers before being treated as formal support promises. The listed software identities are OxygenOS for OnePlus and Nothing OS for Nothing; interface preference and Nothing’s distinctive design are matters of taste, not specification-based quality rankings.
Gadgets 360 lists IP69K for the Nord 6 and IP65 for the Phone (4a) Pro, but current manufacturer documentation was not available to confirm those durability ratings. Do not rely on the comparison listing alone when assessing water or dust protection.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose OnePlus Nord 6 if
- You prioritize the higher-tier listed processor and higher listed refresh rate.
- You value the larger listed battery capacity and faster listed wired charging.
- You are considering the reported longer OS-update period, after confirming OnePlus’s current policy.
Choose Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if
- You want a dedicated periscope telephoto camera with up to 3.5x optical zoom.
- You prefer Nothing OS, Nothing’s design identity or its regional official-store purchase route.
- You are considering it at the current price for your region and have checked the exact RAM and storage variant.
For a performance-and-battery-led decision, the listed specifications point toward the Nord 6; for camera focal-length flexibility, they point toward the Phone (4a) Pro. Neither conclusion establishes overall superiority, real-world battery life or camera quality. Confirm the specifications, support policy, price and configuration in your market before purchasing.
