The OnePlus 13s is the better fit if you want a compact phone, a higher-tier listed chipset, a dedicated 2× telephoto camera, and faster wired charging. The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G suits buyers who want a larger screen, an ultrawide camera, and clearly documented water resistance and software support. The India listings reviewed showed the Samsung at ₹62,999 for 8 GB / 256 GB and the OnePlus at ₹54,999 at Amazon India, but those prices are from different sellers and may not represent matching configurations or checkout offers.

Which phone is better for performance?

On the listed chipset specifications, the OnePlus 13s has the stronger performance-oriented pitch: it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and is listed with 12 GB of RAM. Samsung identifies the Galaxy A57’s chipset as Exynos 1680 and lists LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. That makes the OnePlus the paper choice for buyers prioritizing chipset tier, but a chipset name alone does not establish how every app, game, or sustained workload performs in practice.

Which display should you choose?

The OnePlus 13s has the smaller 6.32-inch display, making it the natural option if you prefer a more compact screen. The A57’s display measures 17.11 cm across its full rectangle, about 6.7 inches, and offers more viewing area for video, reading, and multitasking. Both listings specify a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel technologies and resolutions differ, but those specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better to a particular viewer.

Which phone has the better camera?

The rear camera setups serve different needs rather than proving one phone has universally better image quality. OnePlus is listed with a 50 MP main camera and a separate 50 MP 2× telephoto, which provides a dedicated option for tighter framing. Samsung lists a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization, plus a 12 MP ultrawide and 5 MP macro. The A57 therefore offers an ultrawide field of view; the OnePlus listing gives it a dedicated telephoto instead. No comparable controlled camera test is established by the cited sources, so megapixel counts and lens selection should not be treated as a verdict on photo quality. The front-camera listings are 32 MP for OnePlus and 12 MP with Super HDR support for Samsung; resolution by itself is not a quality test.

Which phone has better battery life and charging?

The listed battery capacity favors OnePlus: 5,850 mAh compared with 5,000 mAh for the Galaxy A57. OnePlus also lists 80 W SuperVOOC wired charging, while Samsung states 45 W support. Capacity and charging ratings do not by themselves determine how long a phone lasts in ordinary use; screen brightness, network conditions, workload, and software all affect endurance.

For a specific third-party test result, 91mobiles reports PCMark battery results of 16 h 34 min for the OnePlus 13s and 11 h 36 min for the Galaxy A57. These are that publisher’s test figures, not a universal battery-life promise, and should be interpreted in the context of its test methodology.

What is the India price difference?

At the listings accessed in October 2026, Samsung India showed ₹62,999 for the Galaxy A57 5G with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The same Samsung page displayed an MRP of ₹77,999 and an offer saving of ₹15,000. 91mobiles showed ₹54,999 for the OnePlus 13s at Amazon India. The arithmetic difference between the two displayed prices is ₹8,000, with the Samsung listing higher, but it is not a like-for-like price comparison: the sellers, configurations, stock, discounts, and exchange conditions may differ. Samsung says its product features, specifications, and prices may change without notice. Check the exact variant and final checkout total before deciding.

Which phone is more durable and better supported?

Samsung provides more explicit durability and support terms in the cited product information. It rates the Galaxy A57 IP68 and describes testing in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes; Samsung does not recommend beach or pool use. This is a stated lab condition, not a claim that the phone is waterproof or safe in every water exposure.

Samsung’s launch material states six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the A57, while its India product specification page lists security updates through 31 March 2032. A comparable current OnePlus support term was not verified in the cited sources, so this evidence does not establish a support-duration comparison.

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose the OnePlus 13s if a compact display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, a dedicated 2× telephoto, larger listed battery capacity, or 80 W wired charging matters most.
  • Choose the Galaxy A57 5G if you prefer a larger display, want an ultrawide camera, or value Samsung’s documented IP68 rating and stated software-support term.

Use current prices for the exact storage and RAM variants you are considering. The October 2026 listings show a price gap, but different sellers and potentially different terms mean the displayed figures alone cannot settle which phone is the better buy.
