The OnePlus 13 and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G make different spec-sheet trade-offs: OnePlus lists a sharper, variable-refresh display and Snapdragon 8 Elite, while TECNO lists a faster maximum refresh rate, a larger battery, and an ultra-wide rear camera. There is no reliable universal price difference: the available figures are not a matched, current checkout comparison. Specs and configurations cited below are market-specific manufacturer listings; availability can vary by country.

Which display suits your priorities?

The OnePlus 13 has the higher listed resolution: 3168 × 1440 pixels on a 6.82-inch panel, compared with 2644 × 1208 pixels on the POVA 8 Pro 5G’s 6.78-inch AMOLED. OnePlus lists LTPO 4.1 and a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh range; TECNO lists a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. That makes the choice a resolution-and-variable-refresh trade-off against a higher maximum refresh-rate figure. Those specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

Both manufacturers list 4500 nits peak brightness and 1600 nits HBM. TECNO also lists 700 nits typical brightness on its Mexico specification page. Brightness figures use different labels and should not be treated as directly comparable measurements without matching test conditions.

How do the chipsets and memory compare?

OnePlus specifies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, with an Oryon CPU up to 4.32GHz and Adreno 830 graphics. TECNO specifies MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G, with a stated maximum CPU frequency of 2.6GHz and Mali-G615 MC2 graphics. These are manufacturer specifications, not benchmark results; clock speed by itself does not show how quickly either phone performs in a particular app or game.

The global OnePlus page lists 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. TECNO Mexico lists configurations with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB ROM, and its listed RAM totals include extended memory. Extended memory is not the same as physical RAM. Confirm the exact storage and memory configuration sold in your country before comparing prices.

What do the camera specifications tell you?

Both phones list a 50MP main camera. OnePlus identifies its main sensor as a Sony LYT-808 and lists both optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS and EIS). TECNO’s Mexico specifications list a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide; its product overview names the main sensor as Sony LYTIA 700C.

The listed camera arrangements give the POVA an explicitly specified ultra-wide option, while OnePlus’s cited global specification identifies its main camera and stabilization. Megapixel counts and sensor names do not establish image quality, and the cited material does not provide matched camera samples or independent photo tests.

Battery capacity, charging, and durability claims

OnePlus lists a 6000mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. TECNO lists a 6500mAh battery and 45W charging. Capacity is not a runtime test, and these charging ratings do not establish how long a full charge takes under real-world conditions.

TECNO advertises IP69K/69/68/66 resistance for the POVA 8 Pro 5G. The cited OnePlus specifications do not establish a directly comparable rating, so this evidence does not support a head-to-head protection verdict. Check the rating and warranty terms for the specific regional model; TECNO also describes “6-Year Battery Health” as a product claim, not an independently verified longevity result.

Which phone is the better fit on specifications?

  • Look more closely at OnePlus 13 if your priorities are the higher listed display resolution, variable 1–120Hz refresh, Snapdragon 8 Elite, or the listed wired and wireless charging options.
  • Look more closely at TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if you prioritize a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, a larger stated battery, a specified ultra-wide rear camera, or TECNO’s advertised resistance ratings.

These are directions based on the listed hardware, not recommendations based on hands-on performance, battery, camera, or durability testing. Software versions and device availability can also differ by market and change over time; the cited pages list OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 for OnePlus and HiOS 16 based on Android 16 for TECNO.

What is the price difference?

A like-for-like current price difference cannot be established from the available figures: they do not verify current checkout prices for the same storage configuration in the same market. OnePlus India lists manufacturer MRPs observed in 2026 of ₹69,999 for 12GB/256GB, ₹76,999 for 16GB/512GB, and ₹89,999 for 24GB/1TB. These are India-specific manufacturer listings, not verified transaction prices; the 24GB/1TB listing also differs from the memory configurations on the cited global specifications page.

A 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹63,157 at Amazon for OnePlus 13 and ₹49,999 at Flipkart for TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G when retrieved. Those retailer-specific amounts do not establish live checkout prices or a common storage tier, so subtracting them would not give a dependable current price difference. Check local listings for both devices on the same date and match their storage configurations.
