The OnePlus 13 favors a sharper QHD+ screen and adds 50W wireless charging; the OnePlus 15R lists a larger battery, a higher refresh-rate ceiling in supported apps, and a newer Snapdragon platform. The available official specifications do not establish a current, like-for-like price difference, so compare live prices for the same country and storage capacity before deciding.

Which display is better for you?

Choose the OnePlus 13 for resolution

The OnePlus 13 has a higher listed resolution: 3168 × 1440, compared with the 15R’s 2800 × 1272. That gives the 13 the advantage on paper for fine detail. Both screens are nearly the same size, so the meaningful distinction is resolution versus refresh rate, not screen area.

Choose the OnePlus 15R for a higher refresh ceiling

The 15R’s adaptive display can reach 165 Hz, but OnePlus says its 144 Hz and 165 Hz modes are available only in listed apps. That ceiling should not be read as a mode available everywhere. For everyday use, the supported-app qualification matters as much as the headline number.

Performance, memory, and storage

OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the 13 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the 15R. The 15R therefore has the newer named platform in these specifications, but that alone does not establish which phone performs better in real workloads. No comparative benchmark results are provided here.

For US configurations, both phones are listed with 256 GB or 512 GB storage. The 13 pairs 512 GB with 16 GB of RAM; the 15R page lists 12 GB of RAM for both storage choices. Check the exact regional SKU when buying, and compare the same storage tier when assessing price.

Battery capacity and charging

The 15R’s US specification page lists a 7,400 mAh typical-capacity battery, versus 6,000 mAh for the OnePlus 13. That is a capacity advantage on paper, not proof of longer real-world battery life: actual endurance depends on use and requires comparable testing.

Both US pages list 80W wired charging. The OnePlus 13 page also lists 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The 15R’s charging details can differ across regional pages, so confirm the specifications for the country and model variant you intend to buy rather than applying the US figures globally.

Camera specifications: what they do and do not tell you

Each phone’s main camera is listed at 50 MP with optical image stabilization (OIS). OnePlus identifies a Sony LYT-808 sensor in the 13 and a Sony IMX906 in the US 15R specifications. These details do not settle which phone takes better photos: megapixel count, sensor name, and OIS alone cannot substitute for a direct camera comparison.

Software versions

OnePlus lists the 13 with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, and the 15R with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. These are the versions named on the cited specification pages; they do not establish either phone’s future update duration or support commitments.

Price difference: compare live prices, not unlike listings

The official product and specification pages cited here do not provide comparable current prices for both phones at the same storage capacity and in the same market. A numeric price gap—or a claim that one is currently cheaper—cannot be established from those pages. OnePlus’s US OnePlus 15R product page offers a purchase path, but that is not evidence of a particular price or stock status.

For a useful comparison, check the two phones on the same date and basis:

  • Use the same country and currency, and compare the same storage capacity.
  • Separate official list prices from current sale prices; discounts and availability can change.
  • Check whether a listing is from the manufacturer, an authorized retailer, or a third-party seller.
  • Calculate the difference only from the prices you actually find, and note the date checked.

The OnePlus 13 was announced for North America on January 7, 2025, according to OnePlus’s launch announcement. That date does not supply a current price comparison.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Lean toward the OnePlus 13 if QHD+ resolution or the listed 50W wireless charging is more important to you.
  • Lean toward the OnePlus 15R if its larger listed typical battery capacity, newer named Snapdragon platform, or supported-app high-refresh modes better fit your priorities.
  • Let the price decide only after checking comparable listings. Match market and storage tier, since an unmatched configuration or retailer offer can make the apparent gap misleading.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
