अपनी वास्तविक दर और load लें
- अपने बिजली बिल की लागू marginal slab दर इस्तेमाल करें। राज्य या DISCOM के अनुसार दर और slab बदल सकते हैं; कोई एक राष्ट्रीय घरेलू दर मानकर रुपये का अनुमान न लगाएं।
- माप में tower और stream चालू रखने के लिए जरूरी उपकरण शामिल करें, जैसे router या आवश्यक storage। Monitor को तभी जोड़ें जब वह सचमुच चालू रहेगा। Plug-in electricity usage monitor, पहले से उपलब्ध power meter या कोई भरोसेमंद usage reading काम आ सकती है।
- Draw resolution, frame rate, encoder और hardware के साथ बदल सकती है। इसलिए किसी दूसरे PC के wattage को अपने setup का परिणाम न मानें।
- अगर internet का अलग अतिरिक्त शुल्क है, तो उसे अलग जोड़ें। सामान्य broadband bill का पूरा खर्च तभी जोड़ें जब वह सच में इस काम के कारण नया खर्च हो।
इस सरल हिसाब में क्या शामिल नहीं है
ऊपर की गणना बिजली तक सीमित है। इसमें PC खरीदना या उसका depreciation, hardware wear, cooling, UPS loss, backup internet और संभावित data-cap शुल्क अपने आप शामिल नहीं होते। PC पहले से है तो उसकी खरीद कीमत को इस महीने का नया खर्च न मानें; केवल stream के लिए नया PC खरीदना हो तो उसकी लागत को अलग मासिक amortization पंक्ति में दिखाएं।
क्या कम कीमत वाला VPS समान stream quality देगा?
ज़रूरी नहीं। VPS की advertised monthly fee को तभी desktop से तुलना करें जब चुनी हुई योजना आपकी resolution और frame rate पर लगातार encoding संभाले और उसका transfer allowance पूरे महीने की outbound stream के लिए पर्याप्त हो। कीमत के साथ tax, renewal, OS/encoder support और recovery व्यवहार भी जांचें।

Quality और bandwidth का मिलान करें
YouTube की आधिकारिक bitrate तालिका H.264 1080p30 के लिए 5 Mbps minimum और 14 Mbps recommended बताती है; 720p30 के लिए क्रमशः 3 और 8 Mbps हैं। इसलिए 360p@10fps वाला सस्ता tier 1080p30 stream की बराबरी नहीं करता। VPS चुनते समय अपने इच्छित output के अनुसार sustained encoding क्षमता और network upload दोनों जांचें।
लगातार 30 दिनों तक 5 Mbps भेजने पर लगभग 1.62 TB और 14 Mbps पर लगभग 4.54 TB decimal data निकलता है। ये bitrate × समय की गणितीय अनुमानित गणनाएं हैं, protocol overhead की गारंटी नहीं। Provider से पूछें कि इतना egress आपकी योजना में शामिल है या अतिरिक्त शुल्क लगेगा।

खरीदने से पहले VPS पर क्या परखें
- वास्तविक playlist/scene और चुने हुए encoder से अपेक्षित resolution तथा frame rate पर test करें।
- लंबे run में CPU/GPU load और stream स्थिरता देखें; छोटी सफल शुरुआत 24/7 क्षमता का प्रमाण नहीं है।
- YouTube से disconnect के बाद reconnect/recovery व्यवहार और provider की सहायता की शर्तें जांचें।

YouTube की stream आवश्यकताएं और OBS सेटिंग
लाइव जाने से पहले channel verified होना चाहिए और पिछले 90 दिनों में live-streaming restriction नहीं होनी चाहिए। YouTube encoder से test करने, resolution और bitrate को उपलब्ध upload के अनुरूप रखने तथा Live Control Room में stream health देखने की सलाह देता है। उसकी encoder guidance H.264, RTMP/RTMPS, CBR और 2-second keyframe interval जैसी सामान्य settings सूचीबद्ध करती है। अंतिम configuration अपने encoder और YouTube Live Control Room के मौजूदा निर्देशों के अनुसार रखें।
- चैनल की पात्रता जांचें: YouTube channel verification और पिछले 90 दिनों में live-streaming restriction न होने की पुष्टि करें।
- Playlist और output तय करें: अपेक्षित resolution और frame rate चुनें। उसी गुणवत्ता के अनुरूप bitrate और upload क्षमता रखें; VPS पर egress सीमा भी इसी output के हिसाब से जांचें।

OBS एक संभावित encoder software है, लेकिन किसी खास PC, OBS configuration या VPS hardware के लिए यहां कोई benchmark स्थापित नहीं है। अपनी सामग्री, मशीन और नेटवर्क पर test करना जरूरी है।

- केवल वही वीडियो और audio stream करें जिनके अधिकार आपके पास हैं या जिनके उपयोग की अनुमति है। YouTube का copyright enforcement और live-streaming प्रतिबंध आपके stream पर भी लागू हो सकते हैं।
- अनुमति होना और monetization के लिए पात्र होना अलग सवाल हैं। बार-बार loop की गई या reused सामग्री पर चैनल की monetization स्थिति की गारंटी नहीं दी जा सकती; YouTube की वर्तमान monetization और live-stream नीतियां देखें।
- लंबे समय तक एक ही playlist चलाने का निर्णय लेते समय channel की पात्रता, सामग्री के अधिकार और stream health—तीनों को अलग-अलग जांचें।
