The Objecto H4 is a passable hybrid humidifier for a bedroom or smaller-to-medium room, but its limited usable capacity and hands-on cleaning make it a less convincing choice for a large open space or anyone seeking low-maintenance ownership. RTINGS’ testing found that the H4 heats water during operation but emits mist close to room temperature, so “hybrid” does not mean the output felt meaningfully warm in that review.
What the Objecto H4 does—and what “hybrid” means
Objecto’s H4 Hybrid Humidifier is model HM27-9. Its manual lists an ultrasonic vibration plate, a heater, a water tank, a remote control, an aroma base and three mist settings. RTINGS describes the H4 as an ultrasonic humidifier that heats water to 60 °C. In its testing, however, the emitted mist was close to room temperature. RTINGS also reports that the heating feature runs while the unit is in use and cannot be turned off.
That distinction matters if you are choosing a humidifier specifically for warm mist: the H4’s water-heating feature did not translate into meaningfully warm emitted mist in RTINGS’ assessment. The heating also contributes to power draw, according to the review.
Room size and humidifying capacity
The clearest reason to favor a smaller room is the gap between advertised coverage and measured capacity. Consumer Reports’ product listing classifies the H4 for a medium room and gives a claimed coverage area of 450 ft². That figure is a product-listing claim, not a demonstrated result; Consumer Reports’ detailed scores were not available in the listing reviewed.

RTINGS measured 1.7 L of usable tank capacity and a humidification capacity of 3.1 L per day in its testing. Those results make the H4 more appropriate for a bedroom or smaller-to-medium space than an expansive open-plan area. Coverage claims and test results describe different things, so the 450 ft² listing should not be read as proof that the unit will maintain a target humidity throughout every room of that size.
Runtime, output and power use
The manual and RTINGS report different runtime figures, so treat them as separate measures rather than a single guaranteed runtime. The HM27-9 manual gives approximate output rates of 6 oz per hour on high, 3 oz per hour on low and 1.3 oz per hour at minimum. It estimates about 11 hours on high and 20 hours on medium. RTINGS reports a maximum runtime of 13 hours in its testing.
The manual specifies 48 W of power consumption. Separately, RTINGS reports 68 Wh of humidifier energy consumption in its test context. These figures are not interchangeable: one is a manual power specification, while the other is the reviewer’s measured energy result. The review’s energy figure alone does not establish what the H4 will cost to run in your home; that depends on your electricity rate and usage.

Cleaning is one of the H4’s more consequential ownership tradeoffs. RTINGS found that it comes apart fairly easily, but has many parts to hand-wash. None is dishwasher-safe, and tight areas can be awkward to reach. If you want a humidifier that needs little effort to clean, that maintenance burden may outweigh the appeal of its remote control and multiple mist settings.
The manual names a ceramic disc set, IMM-DISC001, and replacement aroma felt. Objecto’s catalog lists a Ceramic Disk, Aroma Tray and Felt Tabs. Check that a replacement part is compatible with model HM27-9 and is actually in stock before ordering; the listing names alone do not establish that every catalog item fits this model.

RTINGS’ review, published November 22, 2024 and modified September 10, 2026, characterizes the H4 as a passable home option and reports tested humidification capacity of 3.1 L per day, usable capacity of 1.7 L and a 13-hour maximum runtime. Those are reviewer findings, not manufacturer specifications. RTINGS also says the H4 falls short of the comparably priced Levoit LV600S in performance and, in the reviewer’s assessment, does not produce meaningfully warm emitted mist like the Vicks V750. The review does not support broader head-to-head claims beyond those points.

Objecto’s catalog search result displayed a price of $199.99 when accessed October 7, 2026. Treat that as a dated catalog listing, not a guaranteed current or local selling price; confirm the price and availability with the seller before buying.
- Consider the H4 if you want a remote-controlled humidifier for a bedroom or smaller-to-medium room, are comfortable with its manual’s separate mist settings, and do not require distinctly warm-feeling mist.
- Look elsewhere if you need substantial capacity for a large open space, want the heating function to be optional, or would rather avoid hand-washing multiple parts.
For a buyer whose room and maintenance expectations fit, the H4 is a reasonable but qualified option—not an especially compelling pick for large-area coverage or easy upkeep.
