The Nothing Phone (3) and Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G differ most clearly in display size and refresh rate, camera zoom, charging, and the specifications Motorola publishes for the Edge. Nothing lists a 6.67-inch 120Hz display and 3x optical periscope zoom; Motorola lists a 6.8-inch display with up to 144Hz and 3.5x optical periscope zoom. Neither maker’s specifications alone establish which phone takes better photos, lasts longer, or performs faster in sustained use. The right choice—and any price difference—depends on the exact variant and market.

Specifications can differ by region. Motorola’s support page warns that “Certain specifications may vary by market.” Check the local model’s bands, memory configuration, and feature list before buying; the Edge 70 Pro support page includes sub-6 5G bands, but that alone does not confirm compatibility with every carrier or regional model. Which phone has the stronger performance specifications?
Chipsets and storage
Nothing names Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Motorola names MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage. Those component names describe the platforms and storage standards, not a verified head-to-head performance result.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The published specifications do not establish which phone is faster in sustained everyday use, gaming, or under heat. No independent exact-model comparison under matched conditions is established here, so treat chipset labels as a starting point rather than a performance verdict.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Display: larger and faster versus more compact
The Edge 70 Pro has the larger listed panel at 6.8 inches and the higher maximum refresh rate at 144Hz. The Phone (3) is 6.67 inches and 120Hz. Both are AMOLED displays with HDR10+ support; the resolutions and pixel densities are close, with Nothing listing 1260 × 2800 at 460 ppi and Motorola listing 2772 × 1272 at 450 ppi.
Motorola lists 5200 nits peak brightness and 1800 nits HBM on its support page. These manufacturer figures should not be compared directly with another phone’s brightness claim unless measurement conditions match. Choose based on the display size and refresh-rate preference, and review independent measurements if outdoor brightness or motion smoothness is decisive.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Cameras: zoom reach is not the same as photo quality
Both manufacturers describe four 50MP cameras. The published optical zoom differs: Nothing specifies a 3x periscope camera, while Motorola’s announcement specifies a 3.5x periscope. Both are described with optical image stabilization, and Motorola also highlights ultrawide and macro capability.

That hardware distinction does not determine which phone produces better images or video. Lens processing, exposure, color, low-light behavior, and stabilization need to be judged from independent sample photos and video. Motorola’s support listing is less detailed about the periscope than its announcement, so confirm the camera setup for the specific regional variant.

Battery and charging: Motorola publishes a capacity figure
Capacity and endurance
Motorola lists a 6500mAh typical capacity and 6300mAh rated capacity for the Edge 70 Pro’s silicon-carbon battery. Nothing’s reviewed official product text confirms wireless charging but does not state the Phone (3)’s battery capacity, so a capacity-to-capacity comparison cannot be made from these figures.
Capacity alone would not settle real-world battery life in any case. Motorola describes its battery-life claims as approximate and based on median users under a mixed-use profile and optimal network conditions. Actual endurance depends on usage, signal, settings, and other conditions.

Wired and wireless charging
Motorola lists 90W wired charging and 5W wired reverse charging. Its announcement says up to 15W wireless charging is supported with a Motorola TurboPower wireless charger sold separately. Nothing’s India product material lists 15W wireless and 5W reverse wireless charging; it also states that charging from 1% to 50% takes under 20 minutes, without the battery capacity appearing in the reviewed text. Check which charger is included with the local phone before treating a charging speed as an out-of-box experience.

Motorola lists Android 16 and up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches for the Edge 70 Pro. The reviewed Nothing material confirms Nothing OS but does not establish an equivalent support-duration commitment. That means the available information is insufficient to call a support-longevity winner.

Motorola’s support specifications list IP69/IP68 protection and MIL-STD 810H, while its announcement names Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The reviewed Nothing material does not establish comparable durability ratings. Do not assume the phones have equivalent water, dust, or impact protection based on this comparison.
Price difference: compare matching variants in one country
There is no reliable global price difference to quote without fixing the country, seller, date, and memory configuration. The Nothing UK product page displayed £519 for the 12GB + 256GB Phone (3), reduced from £699, when accessed in 2026; the page text did not provide a publication date. Motorola’s announcement says the Edge 70 Pro rollout is to selected regions and directs readers to local announcements for pricing, but no matching UK price is established here.
To calculate a useful difference, compare both phones at the same retailer or on the same date, in the same country, and with equivalent storage. A promotional Nothing price is not a like-for-like global comparison, and Motorola’s listed 8GB or 12GB + 256GB configurations may not be available in every market.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Edge 70 Pro if you want the larger, higher-refresh-rate display, the listed 6500mAh typical battery, or Motorola’s published IP ratings and update commitment.
- Consider the Phone (3) if its 6.67-inch display, Nothing OS, or 3x periscope camera configuration better fits your preferences, or if its price is lower for the matching local storage tier.
- Compare before deciding if camera quality, sustained gaming performance, battery endurance, or carrier compatibility is decisive; published specifications do not resolve those questions by themselves.
For exact model details, see Nothing’s Phone (3) product page, Nothing’s India product page, Motorola’s Edge 70 Pro support specifications, and Motorola’s announcement. Availability, support-page content, and specifications can vary by region.
