Choose the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro if its tactile controls, Dynamic Spatial Audio and app customization are the features you want to use. Choose Bose’s QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) if its documented USB-C lossless audio, Bluetooth multipoint and setting-specific battery estimates better match your priorities. The available evidence does not establish a controlled overall winner for noise cancellation, sound or comfort, so compare current local prices and, if fit matters, try them before committing.

One naming detail matters when shopping: Bose’s current relevant generation is the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen), which Bose materials list as sold from September 2025 onward. Listings that say only “QuietComfort Ultra” may refer to a different generation, so check the model name before comparing prices. Bose generation and product support information
Which is better for noise cancelling?
Nothing’s adaptive ANC is reported as rated up to 46 dB, but a rating alone does not show how well headphones reduce different sounds in everyday use. It also cannot prove that Nothing cancels more noise than Bose. The cited sources do not provide a controlled, same-condition comparison of these exact models.
If noise cancellation is your deciding factor, treat that number as a specification claim rather than a winner announcement. Compare independent tests that evaluate both generations under the same conditions, if available to you, or try each pair in the kinds of noisy places where you plan to use it.

How do their sound and spatial-audio features differ?
Nothing: Dynamic Spatial Audio and app customization
Nothing highlights Dynamic Spatial Audio, tactile controls and customization through the Nothing X app. Those features point to a headphone experience with playback controls and sound options that you can adjust, but the product description does not establish that its spatial effect sounds better than Bose’s.
Bose: Immersive Audio as a selectable mode
Bose calls its spatial feature Immersive Audio. It is a separate feature set from Nothing’s Dynamic Spatial Audio; similar terminology does not mean the modes work alike or deliver equivalent results. Bose’s battery estimates also show that enabling Immersive Audio changes its claimed runtime.

For sound quality, the cited sources do not establish a controlled listening comparison. Consider the audio features you will actually use, and look for listening evaluations of both models before treating either product’s feature names as evidence of superior sound.
What do the battery figures really tell you?
Bose’s stated runtimes change with ANC and Immersive Audio settings: up to 30 hours with noise cancellation on and Immersive Audio off, 23 hours with both on, and 45 hours with noise cancellation off. Bose describes these as estimates based on playback tests using production-representative second-generation headphones; actual battery life varies with settings and use. - NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES: Effortlessly combines noise cancellation technology with passive features so you can shut off the outside world, quiet distractions, and take music beyond the beat
- COMFORTABLE HEADPHONES: Plush over-ear cushions softly hug your ears, while a secure and comfortable padded band gently keeps your studio headphones in place for those extra-long listening sessions
- 2 LISTENING MODES: These wireless Bluetooth headphones feature Quiet and Aware Modes that let you toggle between full noise cancelling or full awareness of your surroundings for seamless sound control
- HIGH-FIDELITY AUDIO/EQ CONTROL: Supercharge your favorite tracks with high-fidelity audio and Adjustable EQ that puts you in control of the bass, mid-range, and treble for unmatched bold sound
- ALL DAY BATTERY LIFE: Bose QuietComfort wireless headphones provide up to 24 hours of battery on a single charge, plus a 15-minute charge via USB-C gives you up to 2.5 hours of additional play time
The cited sources do not give a Nothing runtime with matching settings and test conditions. That makes a direct battery-life ranking unreliable. If you listen with ANC or spatial audio on most of the time, compare figures for those specific modes rather than relying on the highest advertised runtime.
What connectivity and wired audio do they offer?
Bose documents Bluetooth Core 5.4 multipoint, which lets the headphones connect to two source devices simultaneously, and USB-C lossless audio. Nothing’s official product information emphasizes Bluetooth 6.1 and multipoint. The Bluetooth version number alone does not establish which pair will work better with your devices or deliver better audio in your setup.

The cited reviews and manufacturer information do not provide a matched wear test of these exact generations. Comfort depends on fit, clamping force, ear shape and how long you wear them; portability also depends on the dimensions and case you will carry. There is not enough comparable evidence here to call one universally more comfortable or better for travel.
