If Nimbus Screenshot stops before capturing everything, first check that the capture mode matches the area you want: use Entire page for the full document and Selected & Scroll or Capture Fragment for a scrollable panel inside a page. Then compare the same mode on a simple long page to see whether the issue follows one site or occurs more broadly.
Choose the capture mode for the right scroll area
A web page can have more than one scrollable area. The browser window may scroll the document, while a chat window, control panel, or task list scrolls independently inside it. Capturing the document is not the same as capturing that nested panel.
- Entire page: Use this for the full page document, including content below the visible viewport.
- Selected & Scroll / Capture Fragment: Use this for a selected region that scrolls independently, such as a chat window or Jira task area. Select the panel itself rather than the outer page.
Nimbus’s guide describes these as different capture workflows, and its Mozilla Add-ons listing says the extension supports scrolling during webpage screenshot capture and horizontal scrolling. The Mozilla listing showed version 15.6.9 and a last-updated date of July 31, 2020; that listing metadata does not establish compatibility with a particular current browser version. Diagnose whether the problem is one page or a broader setup issue
- Repeat the capture with the matching mode. Use Entire page for the document or the selected scrolling-region mode for a nested panel. Confirm that the intended region actually scrolls before capturing.
- Try a simple, long page. Use the same Nimbus mode on an ordinary page. If it completes there but stops on only one site, the symptom appears site-specific; that comparison does not prove what on the site causes it.
- Watch for changing content. Note whether content loads, shifts, or is replaced as the capture proceeds. This can help describe the failure, but available Nimbus material does not establish how the extension handles virtualized or dynamically loaded pages.
- Temporarily isolate browser variables. As general troubleshooting—not a Nimbus-confirmed fix—try a clean browser profile or temporarily disable other extensions. Restore the prior settings afterward. TechSmith suggests private browsing to rule out third-party extensions, trying another browser, and setting zoom to 100% in its Snagit troubleshooting guide; these are ideas to isolate variables, not evidence that they fix Nimbus. - Check Nimbus’s extension state. Confirm it is enabled in the browser’s extension manager and note the installed version. - Browser name and version, operating system, and Nimbus version.
- The page or site and whether the target is the whole document or an inner scrolling panel.
- The Nimbus capture mode used and where the capture stops.
- Whether the same mode completes on a simple long page, and whether the page’s content changes while scrolling.
The reviewed Nimbus support material does not specify a definitive reset or repair for this symptom. Avoid treating profile deletion, reinstalling Nimbus, or disabling security tools as established fixes; the available sources do not support those steps.
