Choose NFL Sunday Ticket for live, out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games. Choose NFL+ for live local and primetime games on a phone or tablet, plus NFL Network and game audio; NFL+ Premium adds replays, RedZone and NFL Pro. They are separate subscriptions: NFL Support says Sunday Ticket is not available with NFL+ or NFL+ Premium.
This comparison is for viewers in the United States. NFL+ is unavailable in U.S. territories, while YouTube lists separate availability for Sunday Ticket, including its standalone Primetime Channel. Check eligibility and the current offer for your location before buying.

What is the difference between Sunday Ticket and NFL+?
The key difference is which live games each service carries and where you can watch them. Sunday Ticket targets out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. NFL+ focuses on local and primetime games streamed live to a phone or tablet, along with audio and NFL programming.

They are not interchangeable packages, and buying one does not include the other. YouTube TV can be paired with Sunday Ticket, but that is a separate setup from NFL+.

Which games can you watch live?
NFL Sunday Ticket: out-of-market Sunday afternoons
Sunday Ticket on YouTube covers regular-season Sunday afternoon games, in Eastern Time, that are out of market and not carried on local broadcasts in your area. The standalone Sunday Ticket offer through YouTube Primetime Channels does not include preseason, postseason, local or national games. See YouTube’s Sunday Ticket overview and its game-availability details.
You can buy Sunday Ticket as a standalone YouTube Primetime Channel or as an add-on to YouTube TV. YouTube TV supplies local and national broadcasts in its channel lineup, while the add-on supplies out-of-market Sunday games. YouTube says some digital-exclusive and international games are excluded, so neither configuration should be treated as a guarantee of every NFL game.

Where can you watch?
NFL+ live games are limited to phones and tablets
NFL+ live local and primetime games are for phone or tablet viewing. They cannot be cast to a television. NFL+ Premium replays and RedZone are available on supported devices, which is a different viewing option from the live-game restriction. NFL lists compatible devices, including Roku, on its supported-device information; owning a Roku does not make NFL+ live local or primetime streams available on a TV.

Sunday Ticket is for YouTube viewing
Sunday Ticket is available through YouTube or YouTube TV, depending on the purchase option. If you choose YouTube TV, the service combines its channel lineup with the Sunday Ticket add-on; standalone Sunday Ticket is sold through YouTube Primetime Channels. Check YouTube’s current product and availability information for device and location eligibility.
How much do they cost?
NFL Support’s 2026 price listing gives these NFL+ rates. Third-party billing may add fees.

YouTube Help lists YouTube TV at $82.99 per month in 2026, before the Sunday Ticket add-on. The accessed YouTube pricing page did not state a current base Sunday Ticket price, so check the live YouTube offer and checkout for the price available to you. Promotions may be limited by eligibility and date. NFL’s reported 20% annual-plan offer ended September 21, 2026, and is no longer current.
YouTube describes a season pass as spanning the first Sunday regular-season game in September through the last Sunday regular-season game in January. Its purchase-options page describes installments and says month-to-month was not yet offered for the season when that page was indexed, with availability expected closer to the start date. Because these terms can change, review the current YouTube purchase options and checkout before committing; season-pass cancellation terms can differ from month-to-month billing.

Which option fits the way you watch?
| If you want to… | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Follow a team that is usually out of market on Sunday afternoons | Sunday Ticket | It is built around out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games. |
| Watch local or primetime games live while away from a TV | NFL+ | Live local and primetime games are available on phones and tablets, but not on TVs via casting. |
| Watch games later or use RedZone and All-22 film | NFL+ Premium | Premium adds full and condensed replays, RedZone, NFL Pro and All-22 film. |
| Combine local and national broadcasts with out-of-market Sunday games in a live-TV interface | YouTube TV plus Sunday Ticket | YouTube TV provides its channel lineup; Sunday Ticket adds the out-of-market Sunday afternoon package, subject to exclusions. |
If you need both local or national broadcasts and out-of-market Sunday games, compare the full YouTube TV-plus-Sunday Ticket cost with standalone Sunday Ticket and other services carrying the channels you need. The add-on price and any promotional eligibility should be checked at checkout.
Can you get Sunday Ticket with NFL+?
No. NFL Support explicitly says, “NFL Sunday Ticket is not available with NFL+ or NFL+ Premium.” They are separate services, so choose based on the games and viewing devices you need rather than expecting one subscription to unlock the other.
