There is no proven all-around winner. The reviewed U.S. offer is the clearer fit if your priority is a low advertised entry price and bundled basics, provided you can pay for a long prepaid term and account for renewal. The Nexcess managed WordPress page now redirects to Liquid Web and emphasizes hands-on WordPress operations; its displayed prices were blank, so check a current quote before deciding whether that service fits your budget.
The available official information does not establish a controlled, current head-to-head speed or uptime winner. Choose by cost structure, how much WordPress maintenance you want handled, and the limits and tools on the specific plan you would buy.

The reviewed figure is not a month-to-month price: the reviewed U.S. page calculates its $2.99 monthly headline from a 48-month prepaid total of $143.52. It also displays a $10.99 monthly renewal price. Treat both as figures from that reviewed offer, not guaranteed future prices, and confirm the current checkout total and renewal terms for your country.
#1 Best Overall
The reviewed managed WordPress page for Nexcess / Liquid Web did not show usable prices. Older prices should not be assumed to apply. Until you have a current quote for the plan and billing term you need, a direct cost comparison is not possible. Compare total due at checkout, billing period, renewal, currency, and included limits—not just monthly headlines.
What you get for WordPress
Lower-cost hosting with plan-dependent tools
The provider describes shared hosting as an affordable option for beginners and bloggers, and says its managed WordPress hosting includes tools for optimization and maintenance. The reviewed Premium example includes weekly backups, but that inclusion should not be generalized to every plan. Its page also describes VPS plans as providing dedicated resources and root access, and cloud hosting as using multiple virtual servers; these are product distinctions, not proof of better performance.
Nexcess / Liquid Web: more emphasis on managed operations
The Nexcess managed WordPress URL currently redirects to Liquid Web’s managed WordPress page. That page describes a service built around WordPress operations, listing automatic updates, daily backups, staging, visual comparison, malware scans, SSL, migration support, and expert support. These features may matter if you want operational tasks and migration assistance included in the hosting workflow. The page’s claims describe the provider’s offering; they do not establish independent reliability or performance results.

Backups, staging, security, and migration
The reviewed Premium offer lists weekly backups. The managed WordPress page from Liquid Web lists daily backups and staging sites, along with visual comparison, malware scans, SSL, and migration support. These are not like-for-like guarantees: compare the exact plan’s backup schedule and retention, restoration process, staging limits, security scope, and migration terms before purchase. The available page information does not specify all of those operational details.
Flexible cloud hosting is a separate Nexcess option
Nexcess documentation describes flexible cloud plans as distinct from CMS-specific managed WordPress hosting. These plans can support different CMSs or custom-coded sites, with resources varying by plan. The documentation says daily server backups are included and autoscaling can temporarily add PHP workers during traffic spikes. The first 24 hours of autoscaling are free; charges may apply after that. Review the applicable plan and billing conditions if traffic can spike or if you need a non-WordPress workload.

Support channels are listed, but service quality is not compared
The provider advertises multilingual 24/7 support through live chat. Nexcess documentation lists 24/7 expert support through ticket or live chat. Those sources establish stated availability and channels, not independent response times or resolution quality. Check the support scope for the plan you are considering, especially whether help covers WordPress troubleshooting, migrations, or only hosting infrastructure.

Which host should you choose?
Choose the reviewed offer if low upfront cost and bundled basics lead
For a new, relatively simple site or blog, the reviewed U.S. offer gives a clear price and listed inclusions. It makes sense only if the 48-month prepaid commitment works for you and you have checked the displayed renewal and the plan’s current limits.
Consider Nexcess / Liquid Web if managed WordPress operations matter more
If daily backups, staging, updates, migration support, and WordPress-focused operations are more important than a low advertised entry price, assess the current managed WordPress plan and get its price before committing. The reviewed page does not provide a price that supports a conclusion about whether it is worth more.
For a custom or non-WordPress project, compare product types first
The reviewed provider’s VPS and cloud offerings and Nexcess flexible cloud are different product categories from basic shared hosting and managed WordPress. Match required CMS support, resources, access, backups, and traffic-handling charges to the exact plan rather than comparing provider names in isolation.
What the available evidence cannot tell you
No reproducible head-to-head speed or uptime test was established for the two providers. A fair performance comparison would need equivalent workloads, software versions, geographic locations, and measurement periods. Provider feature pages alone cannot show which site will load faster or stay available more often for your audience.
