October 22–29: Late-month releases
October 22 — Terry’s Terraforming (Quest 3)
A space adventure about transforming planets to support alien life. UploadVR describes the story as approximately six hours long.
October 27 — Operation Together VR (PC VR)
A one-to-four-player tactical military simulation. The PC VR date is October 27 in the roundup; the Quest store listing gives only “Fall 2026,” so a same-day Quest launch is not confirmed.
October 29 — Dark Trip (Steam; VR-supported hybrid)
In this escape-room-style game, players investigate an abandoned laboratory through puzzles and hallucinatory sequences. It followed a Quest Early Access release in 2025. Steam labels it “VR Supported,” not “VR Only,” meaning it can be played flat-screen as well as in VR; the listing distinction is explained on Steam’s upcoming VR search page.
How to read the platform and date labels
- Quest, PC VR, and PS VR2 are separate compatibility claims. A release on one does not establish availability on another. Confirm the specific headset and store listing before purchasing.
- Release types differ. October includes new games, a DLC course, a full release, and a PS VR2 port. Dark Trip is a hybrid flat-screen/VR release, not a VR-only title.
- Exact dates are not equally certain. Into the Radius 2 has conflicting reported dates; Bad Inmate’s developer-announced PS VR2 date is not reflected as confirmed on the PlayStation Store. Operation Together VR’s Quest window is seasonal rather than an exact day.
- This is a notable-release calendar, not a complete inventory. UploadVR says its listing may be updated as dates change or confirmed releases emerge. Other calendars mention additional titles, including The 31st Student and Scared by Squares for SteamVR, but their dates and platforms should be checked against current store listings before relying on them.
Before buying for Quest
If you do not already have a headset, Quest titles require compatible Quest hardware, but the calendar does not establish compatibility model by model. Check the game’s current store page for supported headset generations and verify the headset’s live regional availability before choosing a device.
