Pokémon and the European Space Agency (ESA) have launched an official collection for World Space Week 2026, which runs 4–10 October. It includes two Astronaut Pikachu plush designs, clothing and a wider range of accessories. The retail plushes are inspired by a Pikachu that flew to the International Space Station—but neither plush for sale made that trip.

Did the retail Astronaut Pikachu plush fly to space?
No. ESA says a special Pikachu plush travelled to the International Space Station with ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot from 11 April to 17 June 2026. It spent 67 days in orbit and completed approximately 1,040 orbits, according to ESA. Pokémon says the white-suited retail plush matches the flown plush, but neither of the retail plushes went to space.
