NetSupport Manager 14 is remote-support and administration software for IT teams managing computers—not simply a consumer remote-desktop app. It offers remote viewing and control, management tools, and a redesigned Control interface. Whether it is a good fit depends on the systems you manage, your need for on-premises support, how you configure user access, and the current license terms. NetSupport offers a 30-day trial for up to 10 PCs; confirm the live terms and compatibility before deploying it.

What does NetSupport Manager 14 do?

NetSupport Manager lets administrators and support staff connect to managed devices to view and control them remotely and perform device-management tasks. The product is organized around Control software used by the support person and Client software installed on the computers being managed. NetSupport describes version 14 as having a redesigned Control interface. Its feature history also documents changes introduced in specific later 14.x releases, so a feature listed for 14.12 should not be assumed to exist in every earlier 14.x build. See the NetSupport Manager product and version information.

This is most relevant to organizations that need repeatable remote assistance or administration for a managed fleet. Before choosing it, map your actual support workflows—such as who initiates a session, what technicians need to control, and how users are notified—to the current product capabilities and your organization’s policies.

Does NetSupport Manager support Windows 11 and macOS?

NetSupport’s version 14 requirements list Windows 11 among supported PC operating systems and specify separate macOS minimums by role: Control for macOS supports macOS 10.15 and later, while Client for macOS supports macOS 10.14 and later. The vendor also describes mobile Control applications and an Android Client option for managed environments. These are role- and version-specific requirements, not a blanket guarantee for every device or configuration. Consult the live NetSupport download and system-requirements page before installation; verify processor and operating-system details for the exact Control and Client devices you intend to use.

How much does NetSupport Manager cost?

NetSupport advertises a full-featured 30-day trial for up to 10 PCs without requiring payment-card details. Trial availability and terms can change, so check the publisher’s current trial and download page.

There is no verified current numeric price or upgrade quote here. TechRadar Pro’s Dave Mitchell, writing on April 8, 2025, characterized licensing as based on the number of supported systems; that dated review is not a current price list. Ask NetSupport or an authorized reseller to confirm the current license basis, which devices count, upgrade eligibility, and total cost for your deployment. See TechRadar Pro’s NetSupport Manager 14 review.

Is NetSupport Manager 14 secure?

Remote administration software needs deliberate access and privacy controls. NetSupport documents gateway keys and configurable restrictions on what remote users can do. It recommends enabling User Acknowledgement on Client machines installed on end-user devices for support, so users receive an acknowledgement prompt. These are vendor-documented controls, not a replacement for an organization’s own access, monitoring, and update policies. Review the NetSupport Manager v14 security guidance and decide who can connect, which actions they may take, and how users can respond to or end a support session.

Security updates to check before deployment

In a security notice dated December 15, 2025, NetSupport said fixes for CVE-2025-34179 (information disclosure via unauthenticated SQL injection), CVE-2025-34180 (weak password encoding), and CVE-2025-34181 (remote code execution via arbitrary file upload) were included in NetSupport Manager 14.12.0001. The company recommended updating Gateways, Controls, and Clients to 14.12.0001. Read the vendor’s security advisory and apply its guidance to all relevant components.

A Japanese distributor, Wide Technologies, lists NetSupport Manager 14.12.0003 as released June 2, 2026, and says it requires a 14.12 key. That is a distributor’s release information, not confirmation from NetSupport that this is the latest release everywhere. Check NetSupport’s own release information or ask the vendor or authorized reseller which build and key apply to your region. The distributor’s notice is at Wide Technologies’ 14.12.0003 release page.

How should you evaluate NetSupport Manager for your organization?

Rather than relying on a feature checklist alone, compare the product with your environment and support procedures:

  • Connection and deployment: Establish how your managed devices connect, whether a gateway fits your network, and how the product will be deployed and maintained.
  • Compatibility: Verify the exact operating-system and processor requirements for both Control and Client roles, including macOS and mobile use if needed.
  • Access and consent: Decide how gateway keys, action restrictions, User Acknowledgement, and user expectations will be handled in practice.
  • Workflow fit: Test the administration tasks your team actually performs rather than assuming every advertised capability is necessary or available in your build.
  • Licensing: Get a current written quote covering system counts, upgrade terms, and the devices included in the license.

TechRadar Pro’s April 8, 2025 review frames NetSupport Manager 14 as an on-premises support solution. Treat that as the reviewer’s characterization and confirm deployment options with NetSupport for your requirements. The review is dated, and it does not establish current pricing.

Is NetSupport Manager 14 worth it?

It is worth evaluating if your organization needs remote control and management for a defined fleet, and the product’s current platform requirements, access controls, deployment model, and licensing align with your needs. The 30-day trial for up to 10 PCs gives eligible teams a way to assess fit, subject to the live terms. Do not base a purchase solely on an older review or assume an advertised 14.x feature applies to every build: verify the exact version, current release, security configuration, and quote before rollout.
