The NAD M33 V2 is a powerful, feature-rich integrated amplifier designed to replace several components: it combines stereo amplification, network streaming, a DAC, MM/MC phono inputs, HDMI eARC, and room correction. Its appeal is convenience without giving up substantial power or system flexibility. Whether it is worth its premium depends on whether those features fit your sources, speakers, and room—and whether you prefer one chassis to separate components.

NAD’s U.S. product page displayed $7,399 and “Sold Out” when accessed on October 7, 2026; AVForums listed a £4,999.99 MSRP in its February 2026 review. These are separate regional listings, not directly comparable prices, and neither guarantees current local stock. NAD’s product page and AVForums’ review are the references for those figures.

What the NAD M33 V2 does

The M33 V2 is a stereo integrated amplifier with BluOS network streaming and multi-room support, an ESS ES9039PRO DAC, a phono stage for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, HDMI eARC for a television, and two subwoofer outputs with adjustable crossovers. It is intended for a system where one component can handle passive speakers, digital music, vinyl, TV sound, and subwoofer integration. NAD’s product specifications describe its inputs, features, and supported formats.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Physical fit is worth checking before purchase: the chassis measures 435 × 133 × 396 mm (17 1/8 × 5 1/4 × 15 5/8 inches) and weighs 9.7 kg (21.4 lb), according to NAD. Allow for ventilation, cable access, and the full rack depth rather than measuring only the front panel.

Power and sound: what the evidence supports

NAD rates the M33 V2 at more than 200 W per channel into 8 ohms and more than 380 W per channel into 4 ohms, with both channels driven under the manufacturer’s stated measurement conditions. The bridge-mode rating is above 700 W into 8 ohms. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. NAD also lists THD below 0.003% from 1 W to 200 W into 8- and 4-ohm loads, and a signal-to-noise ratio above 120 dB, A-weighted, at 200 W output into 8 ohms. NAD’s specification page provides the ratings and their stated conditions.

Those figures suggest substantial rated output, but they do not by themselves establish how the amplifier will perform with a particular speaker, room, or listening level. Speaker sensitivity and impedance behavior, room size, placement, and desired volume all matter; use the ratings as one part of a system match, not as a guarantee of results.

AVForums reviewer Ed Selley published a review on February 24, 2026, awarded the M33 V2 10/10, and called it “Best In Class.” In his account, a selection of test speakers revealed excellent bass extension and agile handling of fast material. Selley also said the V2 was not a night-and-day change from the original M33, while describing the updated amplifier as magnificent. These are the reviewer’s listening impressions, not measurements or listening tests by this publication. Read the AVForums review.

What changed from the original M33?

NAD presents the V2 as an update rather than a wholesale redesign. Its stated changes include second-generation Eigentakt amplification, the ESS ES9039PRO DAC, next-generation ADC architecture, and MQA Labs FOQUS and QRONO processing. NAD’s explanation is that these technologies address timing errors in the signal path. That is the manufacturer’s engineering rationale; it does not establish an audible benefit for every listener. NAD’s product page describes the technologies, while its May 14, 2025 announcement presents the company’s position.

AVForums notes that the V2 retains the original’s basic power figures. Its review therefore frames the change as refinement: buyers deciding between generations should weigh the V2’s updated conversion and processing claims against the price and availability of the original, rather than assume a dramatic change in rated output or sound.

Inputs and system connections

The M33 V2’s connection mix is a central part of its value. It supports a television over HDMI eARC, a turntable through MM or MC phono inputs, balanced XLR connections, and two subwoofer outputs with adjustable crossovers. This combination can suit a system built around stereo speakers while still accommodating TV audio and vinyl. Confirm that its specific input types and count cover every source you plan to connect; AVForums notes that the analogue input count is lower than some rivals.

  • TV: HDMI eARC provides the television connection NAD lists. Confirm your TV’s eARC settings and the audio formats you intend to use.
  • Turntable: MM and MC support means a separate phono preamp may not be necessary for compatible cartridges. The unit also includes an infrasonic filter.
  • Subwoofers: Two outputs and adjustable crossovers provide options for bass integration. Their presence alone does not establish results for any specific subwoofer arrangement.
  • Other sources: Balanced XLR inputs and outputs are available; check the full rear-panel layout against your existing components and cable needs.

Dirac Live: what is included and what costs extra

NAD includes a calibration microphone and a Dirac Live Limited Bandwidth license, which corrects up to 500 Hz. This is not the paid Full Bandwidth option. Dirac identifies Full Bandwidth correction and Bass Control as optional upgrades for the M33 V2, and lists ART as unsupported. NAD’s product page and Dirac’s M33 V2 page describe the included license and upgrade options.

At access on October 7, 2026, Dirac displayed $99 for Full Room Correction and $299 for Bass Control. These are time-sensitive prices, so check Dirac’s current listing before purchase. Dirac describes Bass Control as an add-on for subwoofer integration that requires Room Correction. The two subwoofer outputs make that upgrade potentially relevant, but the feature list is not evidence of a tested result in a particular room.

Where the M33 V2 makes sense—and where it may not

It fits buyers consolidating a system

The M33 V2 can replace separate amplification, streaming, DAC, and phono components while also providing a TV connection and subwoofer management. It is a strong candidate if those functions are all useful to you and you want to manage them in one component through BluOS and its touchscreen interface.

It is less compelling if you need more analogue inputs or prefer separates

AVForums identifies high cost and a lower analogue input count than some rivals as drawbacks. A separate-component system may suit you better if you need a larger range of analogue connections, want to replace or upgrade individual parts independently, or can assemble the required functions for less. A fair comparison should account for total system cost and features, not amplifier price alone.

Check everyday control expectations

Selley found the remote could be more useful and noted that the unit could be switched off accidentally. Those usability observations matter for a component likely to serve as a system hub, especially if several household members will operate it. AVForums’ review discusses these drawbacks.

How to compare it with alternatives

The premium streaming-amplifier and separates categories overlap, so there is no useful winner without a defined shortlist. Compare each candidate against your actual system requirements:

  • Total cost for the amplifier, streaming, DAC, phono, room correction, and subwoofer management you need.
  • Amplifier output and compatibility with your speakers’ impedance and sensitivity.
  • Streaming services, multi-room platform, and the devices you already use.
  • Number and types of digital and analogue inputs, including phono and HDMI eARC behavior.
  • Whether room correction is included, limited-bandwidth, or an additional purchase.
  • Subwoofer outputs and bass-management capabilities.
  • Chassis dimensions, rack depth, ventilation, and cable clearance.
  • Whether you value one-box operation more than the flexibility of separate components.

Verdict: is the NAD M33 V2 worth it?

The M33 V2 makes the strongest case when you want a high-powered stereo system built around one component and will use its streaming, phono, TV, and room-correction features. The AVForums review offers a highly favorable independent listening assessment, but also describes the change from the original as incremental and flags price and remote usability. The decision is therefore less about whether the feature list is extensive than whether you will use enough of it to justify the local price. Check current availability, included licensing, and your required connections before committing.
