Late-December 2023 reports described an MSI PRO B650 12VO WiFi motherboard for AMD’s AM5 platform and a companion MSI 12VO power supply. The reports establish that the products were in development, not that either reached retail. Their final specifications and availability today remain unconfirmed by the sources cited here.

ATX12VO is a 12V-only PC power arrangement. MSI uses the phrase “Intel ATX12VO power solution” on its official page for the PRO H610M 12VO, a separate motherboard for Intel’s LGA 1700 platform. That page confirms the Intel model’s stated design; it does not verify the power implementation or specifications of the reported AMD B650 board or the announced MSI PSU. Do not confuse the announced board with MSI’s conventional B650 model
MSI’s documented PRO B650-P WIFI is a conventional B650 reference product. Its official specifications list support for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 desktop processors, but do not establish ATX12VO support. Can you buy the AM5 motherboard or MSI 12VO PSU?
The cited reports describe the AMD board and PSU as forthcoming, but do not verify that they launched or can be purchased now. They also do not establish a live Amazon listing. Check MSI’s current product information and a retailer’s exact model listing before treating either announcement as a retail product.

For any 12VO build, verify the exact board manual and the power supply’s explicit ATX12VO compatibility and connector configuration. Do not assume a generic PSU—or a conventional B650 motherboard—matches the announced design. The PRO H610M 12VO is an Intel product, not an AMD-compatible substitute.
What remains unknown
- Whether the reported PRO B650 12VO WiFi and MSI 12VO PSU ultimately launched.
- The AMD board’s final specifications and the PSU’s final model name and connectors.
- Current availability and any verified retail listing.
The cited sources provide no verified efficiency, cost-savings or market-adoption figures for this particular announcement, and no attributable MSI statement about the AMD board. Such figures or quotations should not be inferred from the product names or from the separate Intel model.
