There is no single “Motorola Edge” specification to compare with the Motorola Signature. Motorola’s current official listings describe at least two materially different phones: the Edge 70 and the US-market motorola edge (2026). They use different processors, storage capacities, screen sizes and camera systems. The Signature’s official page reviewed here does not expose enough complete specifications for a responsible hardware winner. Choose only after matching the exact Edge model, country-specific SKU and current local price.
What the name “Motorola Edge” hides
“Motorola Edge” is a family name, not a single global configuration. The Edge 70 support listing and the US motorola edge (2026) listing are different devices. Motorola also warns that specifications can vary by market, so a phone carrying the same retail name may differ in memory, storage, SIM arrangement, cameras or network features between countries.
The Motorola Signature is likewise a specific model whose complete technical specification was not exposed on the official product page reviewed for this comparison. That prevents a defensible claim that it has the better processor, camera, battery or display. A useful buying decision therefore starts with identification, not with a generic “Signature versus Edge” verdict.

- Choose the Edge 70 if your market actually sells that configuration and you want 256 GB storage, a larger high-resolution AMOLED panel, 68 W wired charging and the stated four-year Android-upgrade/six-year-security policy for that market page.
- Choose the motorola edge (2026) if you are buying the US model and value a smaller 6.3-inch phone with a dedicated 3× optical telephoto camera. Its listed storage is 128 GB, and its charging is slower than the Edge 70’s.
- Choose the Signature only after verification if its localized product page supplies the specifications, software-support term, warranty and price you need. The available official page does not establish enough detail to call it the performance, camera or value winner.
If a retailer simply says “Motorola Edge,” stop and ask for the model number or the exact product page. Do not use the India price of an Edge 70 Pro Plus as though it were the price of an Edge 70.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent benchmark, camera-lab or battery-life results. Motorola’s market-variation warning applies, so verify the retail box and local support page before paying.
Performance and storage: what the listings can and cannot prove
Edge 70
The listed Edge 70 combines Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 silicon with 8 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256 GB of storage. That gives it twice the listed storage of the US Edge (2026), an important practical advantage if you keep large games, offline video or many photos locally. The specification alone does not establish which phone is faster in sustained gaming, camera processing or app launch; no comparative benchmark was provided.

The US Edge (2026) uses a Dimensity 7450, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Its processor belongs to a different platform, so a Snapdragon-versus-MediaTek label is not a performance verdict. Look for independent tests of the exact regional SKU if gaming, emulation or heavy video work is your priority. The available evidence supports the storage difference, not a winner in real-world speed.

No processor, RAM or storage value is established here for the Signature. Do not infer a premium chipset or larger storage from its name or price. Ask the seller for the exact model number and an official specification page before comparing it with either Edge phone.
Display and size: large panel versus compact format
The Edge 70 listing specifies a 6.67-inch AMOLED display at 2712 × 1220. The US Edge (2026) listing specifies a smaller 6.3-inch Extreme AMOLED panel at 2640 × 1216. The Edge 70 therefore suits readers who prefer a larger canvas for reading, maps and games; the Edge (2026) is the more compact choice for one-hand use and smaller pockets.

This arrangement is well suited to people who regularly switch between a stabilized standard view, wide landscapes or close-up macro subjects. It does not include a dedicated telephoto camera in the listed configuration, so “zoom” beyond the main sensor is not the same as optical 3× zoom.
Edge (2026) camera layout
The US Edge (2026) adds a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and optical stabilization to its 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera and 50 MP, 122-degree ultrawide with macro. The Signature’s sensor counts, stabilization, zoom and video modes are not established by the available official page. A camera comparison would be speculation until Motorola publishes the localized details or you have reliable tests of the exact phone.

Motorola’s Edge 70 product page for its market states four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. That commitment is tied to the specific market page and configuration. It should not automatically be applied to every Edge model, including the US Edge (2026), or to the Signature.

Before purchase, open the support page for the exact country and model and record the promised end date, update cadence and carrier qualification. If the seller cannot identify those terms, treat software longevity as unconfirmed rather than assuming the Edge 70 policy applies.

Price and geography: why the India figures do not answer this comparison
At the time accessed, Motorola’s India storefront displayed the Signature at ₹59,999, with an MRP of ₹74,999. The same storefront displayed the Edge 70 Pro Plus at ₹47,999, with an MRP of ₹84,999. The second figure is for the Pro Plus, not the Edge 70, and neither figure establishes the current price of the US Edge (2026).
Prices can change, and local taxes, storage options, promotions, trade-in credits and warranty coverage can alter the final cost. Use the current storefront or an authorized local retailer for the country where you will activate the phone. Compare like-for-like storage and warranty terms; a discounted higher-tier Edge variant is not evidence that the standard Edge 70 is cheaper than the Signature.
A reliable buying process
- Set the market. Write down the country in which the phone will be purchased and used. Confirm supported bands, warranty service and eSIM availability for that country.
- Identify the exact model. Require “Edge 70” or “motorola edge (2026),” not only “Motorola Edge.” Record the model number from the box or official listing.
- Capture the local specification sheet. Check processor, RAM, storage, display, cameras, battery, charging, SIM type and durability rating. Motorola says these can vary by market.
- Check software terms. Save the support page’s Android-upgrade and security-update promise for that exact SKU. Do not transfer the Edge 70 policy to another phone.
- Compare current total cost. Include tax, delivery, charger requirements, warranty and return window. Ignore an MRP crossed out on an old or different regional listing.
- Match the camera to your use. Pick the Edge (2026) for the listed dedicated 3× optical telephoto; pick the Edge 70 for its listed 50 MP autofocus ultrawide plus larger storage and faster wired charging.
- Verify the Signature before deciding. Obtain its official processor, storage, camera, display, battery, protection and support details. If any are missing, you can compare price and availability, but not declare a hardware winner.
- Check the box contents. Confirm whether a compatible wired charger is included. Motorola’s storefront lists charger accessories, but the available material does not establish that every regional phone requires or includes an additional charger.
