There are no built-in cheat codes documented on the official Mortal Shell II pages reviewed. A third-party PC trainer advertises cheat-like options, but it is not an in-game code and its compatibility may change with updates. For weapons and easy-to-miss rewards, explore dungeon side paths and beacon-linked areas; the Iconoclast is granted in the prologue, while other main weapons are found through progression in Fainweald and Mammon.
Does Mortal Shell II have cheat codes?
The official Mortal Shell II website and US PlayStation Store listing describe the game and its combat and exploration systems, but do not document built-in cheat codes. That does not prove that no undocumented code exists; it means players should not expect a verified, official code list from those sources.

Third-party PC trainer options
A WeMod Community page lists an external PC trainer with options including unlocking shells, weapons and sidearms, changing resources, and revealing the map. These are trainer functions, not console cheats, in-game codes, or publisher-approved features. The page’s update history runs through September 22, 2026, and users have reported compatibility problems after game updates. Check that the trainer supports your installed game version before relying on any listed function.

How do weapon unlock counts differ?
Two guide counts describe different collections, not conflicting totals. KeenGamer counts eight main melee weapons for the Lord of War achievement. GameSpot counts 16 weapons across melee weapons and sidearms. The first count is useful when pursuing that achievement; the second describes the broader arsenal, including sidearms.

Where to find the eight main melee weapons
The Iconoclast comes automatically with Harros in the prologue. The other seven weapons are tied to exploration and dungeon progression in Fainweald and Mammon. The following route notes are guide-derived, not independently tested. If you want to avoid location spoilers, stop here and explore optional paths and dungeons before reading on.

- The Iconoclast: Granted automatically with Harros in the prologue.
- Axe & Dagger: In the Shrine of Trials in Fainweald; acquire the Chapel Key and clear the dungeon.
- Veteran’s Battle Axe: Found in the King’s Crypt in Blackridge Cliffs.
- Great Martyr’s Blade: Found in Martyr’s Prison in Gloomshade Grove.
- Obsidian Hammer: Defeat the Prophet of Profane Infinites in the Obsidianite Mines.
- Axatana: Defeat the Dagger Sester and loot the weapon in the Forgotten Tower.
- Black Needle: Defeat Twin Sesters and the Stray Sester in Sester’s Bastion.
- Clockwork Scythe: Defeat Sariel, the Endless, in the Chamber of Becoming.
KeenGamer says missed weapons can be revisited later. Activating nearby Beacons when entering a new region can also help keep routes connected to your exploration.

What hidden routes and rewards are worth looking for?
Make exploration part of your weapon search rather than following only the main route. The PlayStation game page describes more than 80 dungeons and says wandering can reveal warriors, story elements, weapons, upgrades and curiosities. The publisher describes an interconnected compact open world with hidden structures. Those descriptions support checking side paths and optional dungeon areas, but they do not identify every secret location.

Forgotten Crossbow route
GameSpot identifies a specific hidden weapon route: the Forgotten Crossbow is in the Flooded Village dungeon, reached through a boarded stone arch. The guide describes exploring the dungeon, obtaining the Damp Key, then returning to the locked door. Because the route involves backtracking, note locked doors and keys as you explore rather than assuming a blocked path is a dead end.
Make exploration easier to track
- Activate Beacons as you enter new regions, following KeenGamer’s recommendation.
- Check side paths and dungeon branches for weapons, upgrades, and other discoveries.
- Keep track of keys and doors that appear to require them; some routes involve returning after finding an item.
What should players know about the game and PS5 edition?
Mortal Shell II is listed for PS5 with an August 20, 2026 release date on the US PlayStation Store; the publisher website presents it as available now. The store describes it as a standalone sequel built around free exploration, warrior abilities, lost memories, weapons and upgrades.

The publisher says combat has no stamina gauge, describing the system as allowing players to use multiple tactics to break enemy posture and land critical strikes. This is the publisher’s description of the mechanic, not a player-tested assessment.
The publisher’s physical PS5 Revered Edition includes a physical artbook, steelcase and fine art prints, along with digital extras. The official site says it is sold out in most territories, so check current availability and confirm the exact edition before buying.
