Mobile SSH supports Android and iOS, but its documented distribution is a Google Play closed test for Android and a public TestFlight beta for iOS. Make sure terminal input suits your work
Phone touchscreens lack many keys used in shells, so check how an app handles special keys, keyboard shortcuts, and longer commands. Termius documents a special-key virtual keyboard on iOS and Android; its iOS listing also describes Bluetooth keyboard support. ConnectBot documents visible special keys. These feature descriptions do not by themselves show which input method is easiest for you.
A physical keyboard is optional. A compact Bluetooth keyboard may be useful for frequent, longer sessions, but consider portability and compatibility with your phone. Termius’s iOS listing describes both Bluetooth keyboard support and an in-app special-key keyboard.

Check file transfer separately from remote shell access
If you need to move files as well as run commands, verify that the app supports the transfer workflow you use. Termius’s iPhone/iPad and Android listings describe SFTP; ConnectBot’s official site describes file transfers to and from the phone.
Verify authentication and network requirements
Confirm that the app supports your server’s authentication method and any proxy or jump-host arrangement you need. Termius’s iOS listing describes ECDSA/Ed25519 keys and FIDO2 support; its Android listing describes FIDO2 and lists proxy and jump-server capabilities under Pro. Mobile SSH documentation lists key and password authentication and jump hosts. Check current plan limits and your server’s compatibility rather than assuming that a listed feature is included in every edition.

Compare saved hosts and session workflow
For repeated administration, look at whether you can save host profiles, keep several sessions open, and arrange terminals the way you work. Termius documents multi-tab sessions on both platforms and split view on iOS; Mobile SSH documentation lists host profiles. Feature presence is not a usability verdict, so consider whether the workflow fits your device and typical tasks.
Check plan boundaries and privacy needs
Termius’s store listings describe a free Starter plan and additional Pro features, including an encrypted cloud vault and, on Android, proxy and jump-server capabilities.
