The Miele WTH 130 WPM is a washer-dryer with a 7 kg wash capacity but a smaller 4 kg drying capacity. That difference is its most important practical trade-off: a full wash load cannot be assumed to dry in one go. Miele’s October 2018 brochure also lists a 1,600 rpm maximum spin speed, TwinDos and CapDosing, PowerWash 2.0 and SteamCare. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent evidence of cleaning, drying or reliability performance.
What the WTH 130 WPM specifications say
The exact-model specifications below come from Miele Australia’s October 2018 laundry-care brochure. They describe the published feature set, not independently measured results.

Miele Australia’s laundry-care brochure is dated October 2018. Its water figures are manufacturer-published values tied to the stated program context, not independent measurements or a current regulatory label. They do not establish what a household will use across different cycles, loads or settings.

Plan around the 4 kg drying limit
The machine’s 7 kg washing capacity is not its wash-and-dry capacity. If you wash 7 kg, you must remove some items before drying or accept that the load exceeds the stated 4 kg drying limit. For a continuous wash-then-dry routine, the drying capacity is the practical ceiling; larger wash loads mean splitting the load for drying.

Who may find that workable
The capacity split is less of a constraint if you typically wash smaller batches, air-dry some laundry, or do not need every washed item dried immediately. It is a more significant compromise if your priority is to move a large load straight from washing into drying without handling or dividing it.
Will it fit your laundry space?
Miele lists the appliance as 596 mm wide, 850 mm high and 637 mm deep, with a depth of 1,055 mm when the door is open. Check the installation space against the appliance’s dimensions, and allow for door swing and access in front. Measure the route to the installation position as well as the final space; the brochure dimensions alone do not establish clearance for hoses, ventilation or surrounding cabinetry.

The brochure marks the model as suitable for slotting under a worktop, but not for being built under or stacked. Confirm the requirements for your specific appliance using its rating plate and the correct WTH 130 WPM manual before installation. The available official manual here is for the differently designated WTF 130 WPM, so its instructions should not be assumed to apply to the WTH model.
What features does Miele list?
- TwinDos and CapDosing: both are listed in the brochure as detergent-system features. The listing does not establish local cartridge availability, compatibility of a particular formulation, or the results you will get.
- PowerWash 2.0: a named feature in the brochure; no independent test evidence here establishes its cleaning performance or resource savings.
- SteamCare: listed as a feature, but the brochure alone does not demonstrate how well it handles a particular garment or reduces ironing.
- QuickPowerWash: listed among the available features. No independently verified cycle time or performance result is established here.
- Honeycomb drum: included in the model’s brochure specification.
- Delay start: the brochure lists delay start up to 24 hours.
These names establish what Miele advertised for the model, not a measured advantage over another washer-dryer. The brochure does not provide independent comparisons or results for noise, cleaning, drying time or fabric care.

How strong is the evidence for a review verdict?
The available exact-model evidence supports a specification-based assessment, not a hands-on performance review. No independent test results, objective noise measurements or long-term reliability evidence specific to the WTH 130 WPM are established here. The brochure is from October 2018, and current availability and pricing have not been validated. A star rating or definitive claim about real-world performance would therefore go beyond the available evidence.
Be careful to distinguish similarly named machines. The official manual located is for the WTF 130 WPM, not this WTH model. Miele’s press release discusses the WTH 120 WPM and WTZH 130 WPM, which are also different designations. Do not transfer those models’ instructions, features or claims to the WTH 130 WPM.

Who should consider the WTH 130 WPM?
- It may suit you if you want one appliance for washing and drying, generally handle smaller batches for drying, and can accommodate its listed dimensions.
- Think carefully if you expect a 7 kg wash load to dry in one continuous cycle, need independently verified performance evidence, or have a tight installation space.
- Verify before buying or installing if the appliance is second-hand or offered under a regional listing: confirm the exact model designation, local availability, correct manual and installation requirements rather than relying on similarly named models.
