Microsoft will give buyers of selected Windows 11 PCs in the United States a digital collection of 25 Xbox games at no additional cost. The promotion runs for purchases made from November 2 through December 31, 2026, while supplies last. Buyers must activate the computer and claim the bundle to their Microsoft account by February 12, 2027.
What Microsoft’s 25-game PC offer includes
Microsoft says the collection contains 25 fan-favorite games with a stated value of more than $500. The company has publicly named only five titles so far:
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
- Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
- Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
- Minecraft Dungeons
- Gears of War: Reloaded
The complete game list has not yet been published. Microsoft says the full list, eligible PC models, compatibility information, ratings and complete terms will appear at aka.ms/XBOXbundle on November 2, 2026. Until those terms are available, no particular laptop or desktop should be treated as confirmed eligible solely because it runs Windows 11.

Who qualifies
This is a hardware-purchase promotion, not a general giveaway for every Windows user. To qualify, you must purchase an eligible Windows 11 PC in the United States from a participating retailer during the promotional window.

| Requirement | What is established |
|---|---|
| Eligible product | A select Windows 11 PC; Microsoft has not yet published the model list. |
| Purchase location | United States, through a participating retailer. |
| Purchase dates | November 2–December 31, 2026, while supplies last. |
| Redemption deadline | The PC must be activated and the bundle claimed by February 12, 2027. |
| Cost of games | No additional charge after an eligible purchase; Microsoft states a bundle value above $500. |
“Eligible” is the important qualification. Microsoft has not said that every Windows 11 edition, configuration or retailer listing will qualify, so check the model-specific terms before buying.
How to claim the games
- Buy during the qualifying period. Purchase a model identified by Microsoft’s offer terms from a participating U.S. retailer between November 2 and December 31, 2026, or until the allocation runs out.
- Activate the computer. Complete Windows setup on the new PC. Keep the purchase documentation in case the retailer or Microsoft requires proof of eligibility.
- Open Microsoft Store. On the eligible device, sign in with the Microsoft account that should own the games and open the Microsoft Store app.
- Locate the promotion. Follow the Xbox anniversary bundle prompt supplied for the eligible PC. If it does not appear, confirm that Windows is activated, the device is online and the signed-in account is the intended one.
- Claim before February 12, 2027. Complete redemption by the deadline. A purchase made during the window does not by itself transfer the games automatically; the device must be activated and the digital bundle claimed.
After redemption, the PC versions are linked to the buyer’s Microsoft account. That account association means the games can be installed on any compatible Windows PC signed in with the same account, subject to each game’s requirements and licensing terms.

Can one eligible PC run all 25 games?
Not necessarily. Microsoft explicitly warns that some eligible devices cannot play all 25 games. The promotion therefore should not be used as a substitute for checking hardware requirements.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCompare the PC’s processor, graphics hardware, system memory and storage with the published requirements for every title once the complete list is released. A thin, low-power Windows 11 laptop may qualify for the offer yet lack the graphics performance, memory or storage needed for the most demanding game in the collection. Screen quality, battery life, portability, warranty and price also matter when two eligible models are otherwise similar.

Microsoft has not published a bundle-wide minimum specification. A separate Xbox announcement for a July 2026 PC preview of classic backward-compatible titles listed Windows 11, 8 GB of RAM, 4 GB of video memory and a GTX 950-, Radeon RX 550- or Intel Arc A310-class graphics processor as initial minimum hardware. Those figures apply to that preview feature, not automatically to this anniversary bundle, so they should not be treated as the requirements for all 25 games.
Xbox console and Play Anywhere limitations
Some titles in the collection will also be playable on Xbox Series X|S through Xbox Play Anywhere. Microsoft does not say that every game has this support. Some games cannot be played on Xbox consoles at all, even though their PC versions are included.

If console access matters, verify the Play Anywhere designation for each title in the final list rather than assuming that an Xbox-branded game includes a console license. Age-based content restrictions also apply, so family members may not be able to access every included title under a restricted Microsoft account.

What to verify before buying
- Confirm the exact model and configuration appears in Microsoft’s November 2 eligibility terms.
- Check that the retailer is participating in the U.S. promotion.
- Compare the computer’s CPU, GPU, RAM and storage with the requirements of all 25 games once published.
- Decide whether the machine’s display, battery life, portability, warranty and price fit your use beyond the free games.
- Check which titles, if any, support Xbox Play Anywhere and whether age restrictions affect the intended player.
- Plan to activate the PC and redeem the bundle well before February 12, 2027.
The Bottom Line
The offer is potentially valuable, but eligibility is limited to selected U.S. Windows 11 PCs and the complete details are not public until November 2, 2026. Confirm the model, game list and hardware requirements at Microsoft’s official terms page before purchasing, then redeem through Microsoft Store by February 12, 2027.
