How does the widget display progress?
The article describes an integer progress attribute ranging from 0 to 100. It can display the number with additional text after it—for example, a value of 75 followed by “% Complete.” This range is the widget’s configuration detail, not a statistic about users or workflow completion.

What can developers configure?
Style and appearance
Ranieri describes the Bootstrap style setting as accepting info, danger or success. A microflow can set the style in response to the progress value; the tutorial’s example uses a danger style at 0% and a success style at 100%. Other settings described include the text after the percentage, widget width, a color-switch value and the bar’s appearance.
Click behavior
The widget can be assigned a microflow as an on-click action. The example updates the displayed completion percentage based on new information entered on the current page. That makes the bar interactive, but the article does not specify a complete workflow design or establish behavior for current widget versions.

CSS
The tutorial says developers can apply CSS to the progress bar and its text. The amount of styling needed, and the available hooks in a current version, should be checked against the widget and Mendix version actually in use.

What to verify before using it today
- Confirm the widget is currently available in the Mendix Marketplace and identify its maintainer and latest update.
- Check explicit compatibility with your Mendix version rather than assuming that a 2016 configuration still applies.
- Test how the bar communicates progress to users, including any text, keyboard interaction and assistive-technology support your app requires.
- Verify that its progress value and microflow behavior match your workflow, and determine whether the desired appearance requires custom CSS.
