The Endevco 8510B is a miniature gage piezoresistive pressure-transducer family with documented ranges from 1 to 2,000 psig. The exact suffix matters: range, sensitivity and resonance vary substantially across models. The surfaced datasheets and product page are published by PCB Piezotronics under the Endevco name; this explains the naming used in older Meggitt Sensing Systems references, but does not establish current lifecycle or ownership details.
What the 8510B series measures
The 8510B measures pressure using a four-active-arm piezoresistive bridge. The low-range models are gage sensors; the manufacturer identifies applications in aerospace, automotive and industrial measurements where small size, high sensitivity and wide bandwidth are useful. A vent tube can connect to a standard reference manifold or be used for differential-pressure measurement. Confirm the reference arrangement on the actual unit and installation rather than assuming every configuration is identical. Manufacturer product page.
PCB Piezotronics’ official family datasheet covers six ranges: 0–1, 0–2, 0–5, 0–200, 0–500 and 0–2,000 psig. Identify the complete model suffix before applying a specification or selecting signal conditioning. 8510B family datasheet.
How the low-range models compare
The official low-range datasheet gives the following specifications at +75°F (+24°C) and 100 Hz unless otherwise noted. Sensitivity and full-scale output are datasheet values, not guaranteed results for a particular installation.

These low-range figures are from the official low-range 8510B datasheet. The broader family datasheet lists resonance values of 320, 500 and 900 kHz for the −200, −500 and −2000 models respectively; those high-range values should not be inferred from the low-range table. The change in resonance across the family is one reason not to treat a series-wide specification as universal.
Excitation and electrical output
For the low-range sheet, recommended bridge excitation is 10 Vdc and the maximum is 18 Vdc. At 10 Vdc, full-scale output is 300 ±100 mV for the listed low-range models except the 8510B-1, which is 200 ±50 mV. Confirm the exact configuration sheet before choosing excitation, gain and acquisition range. The manufacturer lists Endevco 126 or 136, 4430A and 436 Oasis equipment as recommended conditioning or power options; check electrical compatibility and present availability before specifying any of them. Mounting, port and cable details
For the low-range 10-32 version, the datasheet specifies a 10-32 UNF-2A mounting thread, a 30 ±3 inch four-conductor shielded integral cable, and a sensor weight of 2.3 g, with cable weight stated separately. An M5 × 0.8 version is described as special order. The listed mounting torque is 15 ±5 lbf-in (1.7 ±0.6 Nm) for the 10-32 case. These are product-sheet values, not universal installation instructions; verify the mounting context and unit configuration.
The low-range sheet says positive output corresponds to increasing pressure applied to the (+) port, identified as the end with the screen. Check port orientation and wiring polarity before connecting the sensor. The vent tube may be connected to a reference manifold or used for differential-pressure measurement, subject to the arrangement intended for the specific unit.

Environmental and calibration specifications
The family datasheet includes an operating-temperature range of −65°F to +250°F (−54°C to +121°C), plus vibration, acceleration and shock specifications. It reports 1,000 g peak vibration, 1,000 g acceleration, and 20,000 g shock with a 100-microsecond haversine pulse. The sheet distinguishes limits from typical values and provides model-specific range columns, so check the exact column and qualifier rather than treating these figures as a blanket rating for every use. The datasheets state that calibration data traceable to NIST is supplied, and the low-range sheet says its specifications conform to ISA-RP-37.2 (1964). Traceability does not independently validate the sensor’s installed performance or the calibration of the rest of a measurement chain.

Choosing a model and integrating it
- Match the pressure range. Choose a suffix whose range covers the expected pressure, and assess the stated overrange and burst limits for the relevant model. Do not select a model solely from its family name.
- Check sensitivity and output. Use the exact suffix’s sensitivity and full-scale output to establish the acquisition range and conditioner gain. Preserve the excitation limits shown on that model’s sheet.
- Confirm frequency needs. Compare the variant’s resonance and specified frequency response with the measurement bandwidth you need. Resonance is not itself a substitute for a complete response specification.
- Verify the physical and pressure reference setup. Check thread, mounting torque, pressure port, vent/reference arrangement and cable requirements against the hardware and installation.
- Validate the measurement chain. Confirm bridge wiring and polarity, excitation, conditioning and acquisition compatibility. The cited product sheets do not replace system-level calibration or validation.
The official 8510B-1 product page identifies that specific model as a 1 psig gage sensor. Product inventory, lifecycle, current pricing, accessory fit and distributor availability can change; confirm them with PCB Piezotronics or an authorized instrumentation distributor before procurement.
