Adelaide-based camper maker Maverick Campers and Caravans is reported to have entered liquidation, leaving around 72 vehicle orders unfinished and customers seeking clarity about deposits. TheStreet reported on Oct. 3, 2026, that liquidation was in effect from Oct. 1 after negotiations over AUD 500,000 in debt failed. The reports do not establish what any individual customer will recover.
Which camper company is reported to be in liquidation?
TheStreet identifies the business as Maverick Campers and Caravans, an Australian camper van manufacturer based in Adelaide. It reports that the company entered liquidation effective Oct. 1, 2026, after efforts to renegotiate AUD 500,000 in debt with financiers failed. These details come from TheStreet’s reporting; the underlying court order was not independently verified here.
Secondary reporting reproduced by Express Digest and attributed to the Daily Mail identifies Fetch Business Solutions Pty Ltd (ACN 093 147 687) as the company trading as Maverick Campers, and says liquidators were appointed on Oct. 1. An insolvency notice index also lists Fetch Business Solutions as in liquidation from that date, but it is an intermediary listing, not the primary ASIC notice.
What is reported about orders and refunds?
TheStreet says CEO Matthew Winen reported about 72 vehicle orders on the books. It also reports that the company could not refund incomplete orders while liquidating assets, and that Winen urged affected customers to contact the liquidators.

Express Digest’s reproduction of Daily Mail reporting attributes two further figures to Winen: the order book represented AUD 5 million in forward orders, and 53 percent of the 72 customers had paid deposits below 10 percent. These figures are secondary-reported claims, not independently verified company or regulator figures. The AUD 5 million refers to the value of forward orders, not the company’s debt.
Will customers get their deposits back?
The available reporting does not establish whether a particular customer will receive a refund or what the final recovery will be. TheStreet attributes an estimate of approximately AUD 6 million in company debt to liquidator Yulia Petrenko, but that figure does not determine an individual customer’s outcome. TheStreet describes customers as unsecured creditors; no primary legal source was verified to establish how a particular claim will rank or what it may recover.

Customers should not assume either that a deposit is certainly recoverable or that it is certainly lost. The liquidators’ current instructions and the facts of each order and payment are the relevant next steps.
Who should affected customers contact?
The reports name Yulia Petrenko and Malcolm Kimbal Howell of Adelaide-based Jirsch Sutherland as liquidators. Because the available sources do not provide independently verified contact details or current claims instructions, locate the liquidators’ contact information independently through Jirsch Sutherland’s official channels or a current primary ASIC notice. Confirm that any claims form, payment request or communication is genuine before sending personal or financial information.

TheStreet reports that Winen described the development in a video posted on the company’s Facebook page, saying, “As you can imagine the bombshell hit when we thought we were all good,” and, “We were absolutely blown away.” TheStreet also reports that he called the situation a “nightmare” and said the company had “no choice but to go into liquidation.” The video itself was not independently reviewed for this account, so the quotations are attributed to TheStreet’s description of it.
