Choose by your team’s skills, required platforms and UI model—not by a blanket claim that one framework is fastest or best. .NET MAUI is the most direct fit for C# and .NET teams; Ionic suits teams building around web technologies; Flutter uses Dart and its own widget-rendering system. React Native belongs on the shortlist, but verify its current platform support and project requirements in its official documentation before deciding.

How the four frameworks differ

The key architectural question is what produces the interface and how the app reaches platform features. Those choices affect how your team builds and maintains the app; they do not, by themselves, establish which framework will deliver the best user experience or performance for your product.

Which framework fits your team?

Choose .NET MAUI if C# and .NET are already core skills

MAUI lets a team build shared app logic and UI with C# and XAML, while targeting Android, iOS, macOS and Windows from a single project. It also provides access to native platform APIs and device APIs such as sensors and connectivity. That makes existing .NET expertise and the need for these targets sensible starting points for evaluation—not proof that every app or integration will be simpler in MAUI. See Microsoft’s .NET MAUI documentation.

Consider Ionic if the product and team are web-first

Ionic builds on web technology and supports React, Angular and Vue. Capacitor can package a web project for iOS and Android and bridge it to native device features; Ionic also describes support for mobile-ready PWAs. This is a natural candidate when reusing web skills and UI patterns matters. Before committing, check that every device capability and vendor SDK your app relies on is supported by a suitable, maintained plugin or another integration path. See Ionic’s platform documentation.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Consider Flutter if its widget model and Dart suit the product

Flutter uses its own widget system and rendering engine rather than relying on platform-native controls for its interface. Its documentation describes deployment across mobile, desktop and web, along with plugin and custom integration paths for native functionality. Check the supported-platforms matrix against your exact OS and browser minimums: it marks targets as supported, CI-tested or unsupported, which are different levels of assurance. For native capabilities, review Flutter’s integration guidance.

Evaluate React Native against verified project requirements

React Native is a named option in this comparison, but do not infer its current architecture, release status, platform matrix, integration coverage or relative speed from its name alone. Start with the official introduction and architecture overview, then confirm the exact platform, version and SDK support your project needs. If React or JavaScript skills make it attractive, include it in a technical evaluation rather than assuming that familiarity settles the platform and integration questions.

Check the platform and maintenance requirements before choosing

“Supports iOS” or “supports desktop” is not specific enough for a production decision. Write down each target platform and its minimum OS or browser version, then compare that list with the framework’s current official support information. For Flutter, use the version-specific 3.47 deployment matrix; for .NET MAUI, check Microsoft’s support policy before planning a release or upgrade.

.NET MAUI lifecycle checked October 4, 2026

Microsoft lists .NET MAUI 10 as supported through May 11, 2027. Its latest listed patch is 10.0.110, dated September 22, 2026. Support for .NET MAUI 9 ended May 12, 2026. Microsoft says MAUI follows the .NET release cadence and that a major MAUI version receives at least six months of support after its successor ships. These dates are time-sensitive; check the current policy when setting your project’s upgrade plan.

Verify integrations that could block release

A framework’s general ability to call device features does not show that a specific plugin or vendor SDK works with your required OS versions. For each critical capability—such as camera, location, sensors, authentication, payments or background services—verify the actual package, its supported versions and maintenance, and a fallback if it fails.

  1. List the requirements: record required devices, OS and browser minimums, and essential native or vendor SDK capabilities.
  2. Check each candidate’s documentation: match the requirements to the framework’s current support information and integration guidance.
  3. Prototype the risky integrations: test the actual packages or SDKs on representative target devices before building the full app around them.
  4. Include maintenance in the decision: account for framework release lifecycles, platform changes and the work needed to keep dependencies supported.

Which one is faster?

There is no evidence here for a universal performance winner. A useful comparison needs a defined workload, representative devices, release-mode builds and a user-visible metric—such as launch time, scrolling smoothness, memory use or a specific operation’s latency. Architecture descriptions are not matched benchmark results, so a categorical or numeric ranking would be misleading. If performance is decisive for your app, benchmark your actual use case across the frameworks that meet its platform and integration needs.
